ResponderOS is one platform for fire departments and EMS agencies: scheduling, timekeeping, logistics, training, policy and personnel at the desk; incident command, patient care and job aids on scene. One login and one record for every member. AT THE DESK • Scheduling: platoon cycles, assignments, leave, trades, open shifts, overtime, callbacks and volunteer duty blocks. The Daily Lineup finds a member on the day's board by name, or shows only its vacancies. • Timekeeping: time entries built from the schedule, pay periods and payroll export. • Logistics: QR inventory counts, par levels, expirations, supply requests and gear issue with signatures. A count can start with no signal. • Training: drills, sign-offs, skill checkoffs, simulations and assignments. • Policy: SOGs and general orders with acknowledgments and version history. Members read and acknowledge on the phone, with an offline pack for reading. • People: evaluations, counseling, commendations, probation, coaching and mentorship, with coaching notes beside the evaluations they inform. • Stations and fleet: readiness checks, apparatus inspections and maintenance. • Prevention and community: occupancy inspections, pre-plans, family reunification, community paramedicine and File of Life with QR lookup on scene. • Health and safety: an injury log, an exposure registry and private wellness check-ins. Leaders see only group averages and counts. ON SCENE • Incident command: an ICS structure board, unit tracking, PAR accountability, a MAYDAY workflow that builds the RIT structure, triage and transport, rehab, a live map and push-to-talk. • Patient care: cardiac arrest, trauma and critical patient worksheets that log response times and personnel, plus airway and RSI, pediatrics, OB, drips, ventilator management and medications. The CPR metronome keeps time with the screen locked. • Job aids: pump operations, fire flow, water supply, ERG lookup, confined space, trench, extrication, collapse, rope rescue rigging, LZ setup and ICS forms. • Special operations: UAS coordination with live video, water rescue and dive tracking, and tactical EMS op plans. Clinical tools are reference aids for trained providers, not a substitute for your protocols or medical direction. INTELLIGENCE Connect your CAD data feed for a live unit-status board, coverage gaps, a demand forecast and reports. Deployment Planning ranks where the next unit or station cuts the most response time. FOR DEPARTMENTS Your administrator sets up access, roles and stations, and turns modules on or off. iPad gets dedicated layouts, including incident command role desks. Desk work also runs in a web browser; live maps and push-to-talk need iPhone or iPad. FOR INDIVIDUAL RESPONDERS No department? Create a solo account. Pump Operations, Rope Rescue Rigging, ICS Forms, Cardiac Arrest Management and the Overdose/Medication Finder are free. The Individual Plan, a monthly auto-renewing subscription, adds the other SceneKit and MedKit tools open to individuals, CommandKit Lite, PersonnelKit, LeadershipKit, TaskKit, and CareerKit with attachments. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews unless canceled at least 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel it in your Apple Account settings. YOUR DATA We don't sell your data, track you across apps or use your records for ads or AI training. Your department owns its records. No one in your organization can read your Private Notebook or wellness check-ins, and your notebook and career locker stay with you if you leave. Records are stored in the United States and encrypted in transit and at rest. Optional AI features run only on request. Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: EZ Receipts at none against ResponderOS's 1. EZ Receipts also leads on ratings volume (78K vs 1) and chart position (#120 vs unranked). ResponderOS's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs every 5 weeks) and rating (5.0 vs 4.6). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.
