Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: GNC LiveWell at 4.5 against My Exchange's 3.3. GNC LiveWell also leads on ratings volume (10K vs 196). My Exchange's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and review sentiment (28% vs 10%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
GNC LiveWell holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: GNC LiveWell has 10K ratings behind it against 196, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 10% of GNC LiveWell's written reviews are positive against 28% of My Exchange's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
GNC LiveWell ships an update every 3 weeks, My Exchange monthly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
