Verdict
Hallmark+ and The Met Rocks both sit at 4.2 stars, but that hides the real split: 67% of The Met Rocks's written reviews are positive against 8% of Hallmark+'s. The Met Rocks also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 8). Hallmark+'s advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (12K vs 4). On price, rating, update cadence and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hallmark+ sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month. The Met Rocks asks for nothing beyond the download.
On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.2 for Hallmark+ against 4.3 for The Met Rocks. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hallmark+ has 12K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 8% of Hallmark+'s written reviews are positive against 67% of The Met Rocks's.
Hallmark+ ships an update monthly, The Met Rocks every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
