Verdict
Joss & Main and Overstock both sit at 4.9 stars, but that hides the real split: 68% of Joss & Main's written reviews are positive against 33% of Overstock's. Joss & Main also leads on ratings volume (65K vs 2.5K) and update cadence (weekly vs fortnightly). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Joss & Main against 4.8 for Overstock.
