Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Daily Carb at 70% against Low Carb Program's 22%. Daily Carb also leads on ratings volume (193 vs 9). Low Carb Program's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and rating (4.4 vs 4.0). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS

CostPrice · In-app purchases · Ads · Monetization

Both are free to download. Daily Carb sells 7 one-off in-app purchases and Low Carb Program sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $15.49 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

Low Carb Program holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Daily Carb has 193 ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 70% of Daily Carb's written reviews are positive against 22% of Low Carb Program's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

Daily Carb ships an update every 7 months, Low Carb Program every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
