Foothill Transit Watch: Free Safety and Security Mobile app for Riders The Foothill Transit Watch safety and security app offers riders a quick and discreet method for reporting safety and security concerns directly to Foothill Transit. App users can send photos, six second video, text descriptions, and locations of suspicious people or activities. From the home screen, users have two easy options for contacting Foothill Transit: * The “Report an Issue” button allows users to send text or photos directly to Foothill Transit. To ensure discretion, the camera flash is automatically disabled when photos are taken through the app. When reporting an issue, users can select locations and report categories to assist Foothill Transit. Riders can also send reports anonymously if they chose. * The “Call 911” button will connect customers directly to police. Use only in an emergency. The application is designed for robust operation even under conditions of poor signal strength. If you send a report from an area without cellular/Wi-Fi connectivity, it will be stored and sent when connectivity returns. The system is also designed to send text descriptions before photos so that the police can get information as quickly as possible. Additional Features: BOLO (Be On the Look Out) Alerts. BOLO Alerts on Foothill Transit Watch may display alerts from Foothill Transit about specific persons of interest. For example, Foothill Transit may display information about a missing person or child, such as where they were last seen. If you see a person from a BOLO, immediately call 9-1-1 and send an app report to Foothill Transit discreetly. Help keep Foothill Transit safe with the Foothill Transit Watch app.

Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is rating: Foothill Transit Watch at 4.4 against MySCE's 1.9. Foothill Transit Watch also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.0). MySCE's advantage is update cadence (monthly vs every 10 months) and ratings volume (1.4K vs 49). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

Foothill Transit Watch holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 1.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MySCE has 1.4K ratings behind it against 49, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 10% of MySCE's written reviews are positive against 0% of Foothill Transit Watch's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

MySCE ships an update monthly, Foothill Transit Watch every 10 months. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
