Verdict
The clearest difference is ratings volume: Dollar General at 1.1M against My H's 45K. Dollar General also leads on iOS requirement (16.6 vs 18.0). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Dollar General against 4.8 for My H. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Dollar General has 1.1M ratings behind it against 45K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 42% of Dollar General's written reviews are positive against 48% of My H's.
Dollar General ships an update every 3 weeks, My H fortnightly. Both last shipped on November 4, 2026.
