Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
OnPoint EV holds the better App Store score, 3.0 against 1.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Francis Energy has 28 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 10% of Francis Energy's written reviews are positive against 0% of OnPoint EV's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Francis Energy ships an update every 15 months, OnPoint EV every 14 months. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
