Connect FLEX is an app-based, on-demand service that provides flexible routing based on passenger demand within a defined zone. Booking rides with Connect FLEX is EASY. All you do is select your pickup and drop off locations and select a trip time that meets your needs. The app will then guide you to the closest pickup location (typically at a safe street corner) and an estimated pickup time. Flex Transit offers a convenient and affordable on-demand shared ride service in Escambia County, FL, operating Monday through Saturday from 5:00 AM to 8:00 PM. This service pairs multiple passengers traveling in the same direction into a single vehicle, providing efficient transportation. Flex Transit also connects passengers from their pickup location to the nearest fixed-route bus stop. Using the Flex Transit app, you can enter your pickup and drop-off locations to be matched with a vehicle heading your way. The fare is $2.50 per ride. Customers who prefer to pay in cash can do so on board, but drivers accept exact fare only and cannot provide change. Flex Transit vehicles are ADA accessible and can accommodate up to 8 passengers. Please note that bike racks are not available. Children under 5 years old or weighing less than 80 pounds must use a car seat provided and secured by the accompanying adult. Additionally, it is recommended that children under 13 be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
