Verdict
The clearest difference is ratings volume: Pixel Odyssey at 155 against Everbound's 22. Everbound's advantage is review sentiment (80% vs 69%). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Pixel Odyssey sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Everbound sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.4 for Pixel Odyssey against 4.5 for Everbound. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pixel Odyssey has 155 ratings behind it against 22, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 69% of Pixel Odyssey's written reviews are positive against 80% of Everbound's.
Pixel Odyssey ships an update every 3 weeks, Everbound fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on September 23, 2026 and September 9, 2026 respectively.
