Most of the time, procrastination is not caused by laziness, but by difficulty getting started. Once you do get started, momentum will often carry you through to the end. Procrastination is only the surface symptom. The deeper reason is that our brains are naturally wired to: * dislike vague tasks and not know where to begin * fall into perfectionism, worrying about not doing it well, so it feels easier not to start at all * prefer short-term pleasure, such as scrolling on the phone * lose self-worth even further when procrastinating. At that point, the subconscious may start attaching labels like “I’m someone who always procrastinates,” leading to self-denial, inner friction, and a vicious cycle (it is very important not to label yourself this way!) This little app can break down the tasks you do not want to face into extremely specific steps with one tap. Every step is easy to complete, and each one comes with guiding text to reduce your psychological resistance. Once the task is broken down, all you need to do is take the first step with its encouragement — after that, you may find it hard to stop. # Key Features 1. Multiple Coaches The app comes with 4 carefully selected built-in coaches (Coach W specialises in helping you start, the cool and blunt big-sister coach is direct and well-balanced, Miss S is great at arranging chained tasks, and the NPC Mage excels at turning boring tasks into role-playing adventures). 2. Coach DLC Download the coaches you like on demand! A minister, a butler, a professional communication coach, a sleep guidance coach, even a chef coach… one app, endless ways to play. 3. Growth System (Beta) Make your real-world effort visible inside the app, so you can fall in love with the version of yourself that keeps improving. 4. Personal Profile Every time a coach creates a plan, they will refer to your personal profile to design steps that best fit your situation and write encouragement that motivates you most effectively. It also supports per-coach rewrites, so different coaches can see different versions of your profile. (For example, the “Master Chef” sees your food preferences, while the “Minister” sees that you are a Spanish princess.) 5. Navigation Mode (Focus) An ADHD-friendly focus mode: large text always visible (based on the GTD approach), progressive step disclosure, and course correction to help you slip naturally into a focused state. 6. Idea Capture (Not a TODO List) "Your mind is for having ideas, not holding them." Shake firmly on any screen to capture an idea instantly. You do not need to come up with brilliant ideas every time. But as long as ideas keep appearing and keep getting captured, those low-probability good ideas will eventually connect, grow, and turn into real change. 7. Lorebook Define a dictionary for your own world — a lorebook that packages complex instructions, technical terms, and personal SOPs into reusable entries. 8. Apple Watch Support! This is especially useful in situations like cooking, exercising, or walking, when it is not convenient to keep looking at your phone. 9. Iterative Revision A good plan is shaped through revision. PlanCoach’s powerful editing features let you adjust and refine it endlessly with AI until it truly fits. ==== The app price is increasing month by month, and the lifetime purchase will gradually rise to ¥268 — the earlier you buy, the better the deal! Snowball is an app designed to help you ease procrastination and difficulty getting started. By combining practical tools with principles from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), it helps you build your own action support system and gradually regain momentum through small, manageable steps—no matter what state you are in. ● What problems can Snowball help with? When you cannot stop scrolling on your phone, even though there is something important you need to do. When you have something important to do but do not know where to begin. When you get stuck, feel overwhelmed, and start wanting to avoid the task. When you feel too slow or unproductive and begin to doubt whether you are capable. When you want to achieve a long-term goal but struggle to keep going. Snowball helps you change the way you see the task, reduce pressure and mental friction, and find one small step you can still take right now—so you can start, continue, and eventually finish. ● What makes Snowball different from similar apps? Compared with similar apps, Snowball focuses more on the connection between procrastination, difficulty getting started, emotions, and your current state. Snowball begins with behavioral activation. It uses tools such as task breakdown and SOPs to help you take action immediately, while also helping you understand your own behavioral patterns through features such as state tracking and behavioral experiments. Snowball is not only designed to help you complete a task once. Through repeated use, it also helps you gradually accept your current state, build real-life evidence, and revise beliefs such as “I cannot do this” or “I am just lazy.” ● What features does Snowball include? ○ Action Activation Use AI to break difficult tasks into smaller, more manageable steps, making it easier to take the first step. ○ Coping with Difficulties When you feel stressed, encounter obstacles, or want to avoid the task, Snowball first helps you acknowledge your current emotions, then find one small action you can still take to return to the task. ○ Action Routes Save repeatable routines that work for you, reduce repeated thinking and decision-making, and make everyday actions easier to start. ○ Behavioral Comparison Record your state, perceived difficulty, and estimated time before and after taking action. This helps you see the difference between expectation and reality and build real evidence that you are capable. ○ Goal Map Turn vague long-term goals into clear stages and next actions, so that even after stopping, you can more easily continue again. ● Who is Snowball for? Snowball is suitable for people who struggle with procrastination, difficulty getting started, perfectionism, low energy, or the feeling that they are not disciplined enough. You do not need to change yourself all at once. Like rolling a snowball, you only need to accept where you are now, begin with one small step, and gradually regain your ability to take action.
