STOP THE SPIRAL IN SECONDS. When a panic attack hits, you don't have time to navigate complex menus or watch a 10-minute meditation. You need a rescue tool that works now. panic.btn is a "digital first aid kit" built by Eric (Franz) Richers, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and addiction specialist. It is specifically designed to provide immediate physiological intervention when your nervous system is overwhelmed. WHY PANIC.BTN? Unlike "zen" lifestyle apps, panic.btn focuses on the science of the "Physiological Sigh" and grounding techniques used in clinical therapy to lower your heart rate and cortisol levels instantly. KEY FEATURES: The Rescue Button: One tap launches a guided grounding sequence. Clinical Breathing Tools: 4-7-8, Box Breathing, and Vagus Nerve resets. Haptic Feedback: Feel the rhythm of the breath—perfect for public situations where you can't use audio. LPC-Verified Content: Every exercise is rooted in CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and physiological science. Privacy First: No data leaves your device. No sign-ups. No subscriptions. FROM THE FOUNDER: "I built this app for my clients to use between sessions. In a moment of crisis, you don't need a coach—you need a tool. panic.btn is that tool." — Eric Richers, LPC, MA, CADC III. When panic or worry feels overwhelming, start with one small thing. Nori is a narwhal companion for grounding, breathing, sleep and everyday encouragement. Open SOS for immediate access to support, or choose a small step that matters to you. You set the pace. FREE SOS, BEFORE SETUP Open SOS (Anchor) before setup, sign-in or payment. Read one line at a time, choose a bundled voice guide, or stay silent. Pause, move ahead, or switch between Ride the wave, Ground me and Breathe. Core SOS guidance works offline, with ocean sound and vibration controlled separately. Your chosen support contact is close at hand; calling or texting requires phone service. BREATHING AND GROUNDING Follow gentle breathing or choose grounding when focusing on your breath does not suit you. Save favorite tools and record whether something felt Helpful, Not sure or Felt harder. You can finish without rating or logging anything. SMALL STEPS, YOUR CHOICE Write an everyday intention or a goal in Get it back. Choose your own manageable step, note what you expect, give it a try and keep what you learned. Nori celebrates effort; you do not need a better mood or a calmer feeling to take part. You choose every step and when to try it. READ OR LISTEN Explore short lessons on anxiety, worry, sleep and everyday experiences. Read at your own pace or play the matching narration. Lessons connect to tools you can try, with optional reflection afterward. SLEEP, UNWIND AND PLAY Wind down with sleep stories, soundscapes and visualizations, or give restless hands something simple to do with quiet games. CHECK IN AND REFLECT Keep optional mood check-ins and journal notes. The Two-week check uses the GAD-7, a seven-question anxiety screening questionnaire, and keeps your own answers over time. It is not a diagnosis. TALK WITH NORI Optional AI chat offers a place to reflect or plan a next step. A consent screen explains sharing with OpenAI before you send. The free plan includes 15 messages a day. Nori+ adds unlimited chat and memory across conversations. YOUR SPACE, YOUR CHOICE Check-ins and journal entries are stored on your device and can sync through your personal iCloud when available. Your self-written steps and Two-week checks stay on your device. AI chat sends your messages and relevant context only after consent. Account and data deletion are available in the app. Nori+ is an optional auto-renewing subscription. The price, billing period and any eligible trial are shown before purchase. Subscriptions renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Manage or cancel in your Apple account settings. SOS and immediate support tools remain free. Nori offers general wellbeing support, not diagnosis, treatment or emergency care. It cannot determine what is causing symptoms or promise relief. Seek urgent medical help for new, severe or unfamiliar symptoms.
