Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Spry at 5.0 against Osteo Trainer's 4.2. Spry also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription). Osteo Trainer's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (weekly vs monthly). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. Spry sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Osteo Trainer sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
Spry holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Osteo Trainer has 17 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
Spry ships an update monthly, Osteo Trainer weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and November 6, 2026 respectively.
