Linglass turns YouTube into the most natural way to learn a language — watch what you love, with dual subtitles, and pick up words without it ever feeling like studying. Tap any word in the subtitles to see what it means in context (not just a dictionary definition), hear it pronounced by a native voice, and save it with one tap. Every saved word comes back at the perfect moment with spaced-repetition flashcards, so it sticks. DUAL SUBTITLES ON YOUTUBE Watch any YouTube video with subtitles in your target language and your own, side by side. Tap a word for an instant, context-aware translation. CONTEXTUAL TRANSLATION + PRONUNCIATION Get the meaning that fits the sentence, with phonetic transcription and native-voice audio. Built for understanding, not just lookups. AI GRAMMAR EXPLANATION Select a sentence and get a clear, structured breakdown of the grammar — each construction labelled with its CEFR / JLPT / HSK / TOPIK level, in your own language. SMART FLASHCARDS (SPACED REPETITION) Review saved words with the real video context — the sentence and the frame they came from. The FSRS algorithm schedules each card right before you'd forget it. TRACK YOUR PROGRESS Streaks, a review heatmap and clear stats keep you coming back. LEARN: English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Japanese, Korean and Chinese — with the interface in 20 languages. FREE TO USE: 15 translations a day, 50 saved words, and AI grammar explanations every month. PREMIUM removes the limits — unlimited translations, unlimited saved words and far more AI grammar. Watch. Untranslated
Read full descriptionHide full description
Untranslated is a language-learning app built around real videos, interactive captions, and understanding words in their original context. Instead of replacing what you are watching with a complete translation, Untranslated helps you follow the original language more confidently. Choose a video in the language you are learning and watch with interactive captions. Words highlight as they are spoken. When you miss something, tap the word to see its meaning in that sentence, hear its pronunciation, save it with context, and continue watching. Learn from videos you choose Build lessons around real videos you genuinely want to watch rather than scripted textbook conversations. Tap unfamiliar words Captions become interactive. Tap a word when you need help without searching elsewhere or losing your place in the video. Follow the word being spoken The current word highlights as it is said, so you can stay with the original line while you listen. Hide easier words Choose a level from A1 to C2. Words below it fade to a light underline, so the captions match your level and you tap only when a harder word needs help. Understand the specific moment A word can mean different things in different situations. Untranslated explains the meaning that fits the sentence you are watching. Save words with their context Keep useful vocabulary alongside the sentence and video where you encountered it, making each saved word easier to remember. Review at the right time Saved words stay open until you can produce them from memory. Practise their meanings, prove them twice, and they become learned. Follow your learning path Resume recent lessons, practise the words still open, revisit what you have already proven, and see where you are from one place. See what each session added Finish with a clear recap of the words you explored, time spent with the video, and progress made through it. Untranslated is designed for immersion without leaving you lost. Keep watching the original. Understand more of it.
