Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: DirectorySpot at 3.3 against COSMO's 3.0. COSMO's advantage is ratings volume (276 vs 39). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
DirectorySpot holds the better App Store score, 3.3 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: COSMO has 276 ratings behind it against 39, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 58% of DirectorySpot's written reviews are positive against 60% of COSMO's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
DirectorySpot ships an update every 3 months, COSMO every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
