Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: Roots | App at 100% against Touch4Wash's 25%. Roots | App also leads on rating (5.0 vs 2.9) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Touch4Wash's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (103 vs 11). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.
