Force Patient is prescribed to patients of Force-enabled healthcare organizations, allowing patients to watch videos, complete tasks on their daily To-Do Lists, and communicate with their Care Teams via messages. Data points from the patient are sent back to the Care Team, allowing them to understand patients' progress and take action when necessary. Force-enabled patients should have received a welcome email and can use the same login credentials that they use to access the web version of Force to log into this app. Force Patient is free for patients who have been prescribed Force at a Force-enabled organization. Requires a patient Force account. Force Patient utilizes Apple’s Health App to read your step data.

Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: My Select PT at 4.7 against Force Patient's 3.7. My Select PT also leads on ratings volume (3.2K vs 608) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.6). Force Patient's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 5 months) and review sentiment (43% vs 30%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
My Select PT holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: My Select PT has 3.2K ratings behind it against 608, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 43% of Force Patient's written reviews are positive against 30% of My Select PT's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Force Patient ships an update every 3 weeks, My Select PT every 5 months. Both last shipped on September 23, 2026.
