Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Pumble at 4.7 against Time To Pet's 4.3. Pumble also leads on ratings volume (1.8K vs 241). Time To Pet's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs fortnightly) and review sentiment (75% vs 55%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Pumble holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pumble has 1.8K ratings behind it against 241, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of Time To Pet's written reviews are positive against 55% of Pumble's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Time To Pet ships an update every 3 days, Pumble fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
