Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Galcon BT at 3.2 against PalGate's 2.7. Galcon BT also leads on iOS requirement (12.4 vs 15.6). PalGate's advantage is review sentiment (29% vs 10%) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Galcon BT holds the better App Store score, 3.2 against 2.7. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 5 and 15 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 10% of Galcon BT's written reviews are positive against 29% of PalGate's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Galcon BT ships an update every 2 months, PalGate every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 16, 2026.
