Can’t use app due to Ad
This is not the right way to ask consumer to subscribe your Kami service, it just damage your brand. Whoever suggested to do this should be criminally charged with fraud, it is not just unethical but might also it’sllegal. People rather buy a new one more than getting blackmailed. We as a consumer need to continue award Yi product with one star in order to stop other company following it’s path.

I used this app back in 2023 and things seemed to work well. I cancelled for 2 years and tried to use it again this year and it’s completely changed. The free version has so many ads. You basically can’t see anything unless you pay for a subscription.
They make it incredibly hard to cancel a subscription. There is no “cancel this subscription” button in the app. You have to submit a support ticket using their AI bot and wait for a customer service bot to get back to you in 3-5 business days. There’s also no button to cancel auto-renewal OR remove your payment information. Once they have it, they’ll keep charging your card. Their rates are also much higher than competitor cameras.
I’m surprised this is legal in some countries. Warn your banks. Contact apple support. Don’t pay for the subscription!!

App is basically spam
Too many ads for cameras you pay for. It’s one thing to push a subscription but what this company is doing is making the app unusable for those who dont subscribe. DO NOT BUY
Zero stars if I could.
The app is completely gridlocked with adverts, intrusive videos and banners. They reduce functionality every few months, now even previews are being restricted without a paid subscription. When adding a device they’ve purposely hidden the button that allows you to continue without buying a subscription. The creators of this app have no interest in our safety - or creating an easy functioning service their users. It’s simply a cash cow.

DO NOT BUY SUBSCRIPTIONS
This is a complete scam. I’ve tried contacting them on multiple occasions. Their customer service is non existent. They’ve continuously charged my account for MONTHS when I’ve been unsubscribed. When they randomly cancelled my subscription, I got a new one, NOW they charge me twice a month for TWO subscriptions and they’re both cancelled!!!!!! I cannot express it enough to NOT download this app or pay for the subscription!

Do not buy! Terrible terrible
I’ve used it for years! Disappointing never stopping ads and in case of an emergency you will never see the live view and it’s horrible to look at footage on the SD card. Stay away! Company got worse! Not worth paying for subscription at all! Stay away!
Blackmail
This company will sell you a camera saying video can be accessed if you have an SD card and then blackmail into buying additional cloud services. They suck!
Ads are obnoxious
I’m trying to view footage on my cameras and I have to spend minutes getting through compulsory ads. Annoying and stupid.
AD interference
Lord forbid it’s an emergency and you need to quickly peak at your camera. You will be prompted to watch at least 60 seconds of ads and once they are over there is no clear exit to close the ad off of your screen. You will repeatedly have to close out the entire app just to get a glimpse of your screen for a few seconds before another ad pops up. Terrible. The makers should be ashamed of themselves.

Unusable
Have used these cameras for years with no problems. Just updated the app and now it’s impossible to use, ads popping up, you can’t switch between cameras without having to wait another minute before you can view. You can only view live any historic pops up another add where you’re required to wait again. I use these to keep an eye on my mother who needs additional support. I’ll now be looking elsewhere for an alternative system. Seems you’ve lost a lot of customers now. No one minds a few ads but this is just unreasonable

It’s basically useless now. You have to wait for ads to stop before you can pull up the cameras. So it’s something it’s urgent too bad for you. You shouldn’t be able to change a product like this when someone has had it for years.

I’ve never seen such a ridiculous app before. You pay to buy the camera, but they also want a separate fee for the app. If you want to use the app for free, even the live stream is limited. When you open the app, ads keep popping up all the time. This is just so stupid. I want to give this app zero stars.

This product is not good because it is giving you ads in the app. This is not expected. We pay you for the product purchase and you should not block our access by showing us mandatory advertising. Very disappointed.
This app is a SPAM/Scam/money robber
Minor ‘improvements’ and MAJOR spam and money grabbing. Don’t update anything on this pathetic app. Every update reduces functionality, INTEGRATES and INTRUDES into every aspect of this app, it shows ads in the middle of a live view or rewind of my previous recordings while I’m trying to find something important. It’s Ads Ads Ads non stop. They call it an ‘improvement’ only to screw you over and force you to pay for basic functionality that should be free. This app and the cameras are a fail. STAY AWAY from this shady greedy company.
