  • Crashes on open

    Currently cannot open the app at all
  • A mixed bag.

    It’s great when it works as it should but it’s by far the most unreliable app on my phone. Compared to others it’s often slow to load & is just plain buggy. I’m a lifetime subscriber so I’ll continue to use it (Roon does its job very well) but I expect it will continue to frustrate me too.
  • Barely usable

    I returned to using Roon after an absence of more than a year and was disappointed to find that the Roon Remote app is still practically unusable for those of us whom are visually impaired and rely on the accessibility ZOom feature on the iPad . To put it bluntly this app is impossible to use as it does not behave consistently with ZOom. The three and two finger gestures are almost without fail misinterpreted or not responded to at all. I use my iPad with Zoom around six to 8 hours a day without experiencing these issues other than with this app. The developers have known about these issues for well over a year, but have, it appears, made no effort to address them.
    It can;t be difficult to address them, as every other app seems to work just fine with Apples Zoom - it’s a function provided by the Apple SDK that is easily incorporated into an app.
    It’s somewhat shameful that Roon makes no effort to incorporate this simple accommodation into its app for those of us who need a little help with our vision issues.

  • Very bad support and crippling product updates

    I was an extremely happy Roon customer for more than two years. Since they have updated the core software a month and a half ago, the system is unusable. The system hangs between tracks. The system hangs when you try to pull up an album. It is not just me. Many people report the same issues. There is no way to get support. There has been radio silence from Roon. They have not acknowledged that the software no longer works. This company is made up of very bad software engineers who have lost their focus. All I want is to listen to my music. You have taken that away. Do not enable these crooks by giving them money.

  • Why do you make it so * hard to subscribe?

    I’m happy to pay for Roon because it sounds amazing, I’m happy to pay for Roon because it’s design, I’m even happy to pay to avoid Tidal’s crappy interface.
    Why does insist on making it so * hard to subscribe?
    - You can’t use the same email address to subscribe to more than one account
    - You can’t use the same credit card on more than one account
    Roon is the best player available but I can’t use it because the * user management is unusable.

  • Not comprehensive, but great in audio cave

    Along with dialling up a playlist, having Roon on iDevice is a great source of musician lore and such when the music plays off one’s Roon source system… which in my case is a rather immobile laptop.

    As I write, I can’t speak for wireless playback, but the expense of yet another music playback device suggests that would be a non-starter. Mileage, too, may vary with that Roon source. I have a dedicated DAC for the lappy, which I suppose is good enough.

  • Great app but some things need work

    The app is great, but needs a little work. One very annoying thing is that Roon Remote doesn’t work with the Apple Magic Keyboard… I have the iPad Pro M2 and the Magic Keyboard, and while i can scroll and type, I can’t click on anything with the trackpad. Using touch works fine, but when using the Magic Keyboard having the trackpad work is important. Please fix!

  • Better than volumio

    So much better than volumio. I’m using ropieee and it’s awesome. Faster, cleaner and works better. Do yourself a favour and loose volumio.
  • Garbage app

    I really regret buying this app and I pay for lifetime license, the app design is garbage, is not a native iOS app so is not smooth and interface is 1 star, the big problem is they believe is a great interface so they will never fix it, take look at Plexamp app very well done really great interface and very smooth app and it only cost 120 for lifetime license, don’t buy this Roon mediocre app

  • THIS IS A CHANGE LOG NOT A PRODUCT OVERVIEW

    Until you use this space as a proper change log, I will continue to give one star ratings. This is NOT the place for the same product advertising spiel you continue to spew out, and I am SICK of seeing this.
    Try acting like a proper App developer for once.
    I am a lifetime subscriber to Roon and I am begging you to just supply some change details. Even "bug fixes" (if that is what this new version contains) is better than the same wording EVERY SINGLE TIME. Utterly unacceptable.
