Bring back offline access
What the hell have you done Roon???! I can’t access my own library of music on my hard drive unless Roon has an internet connection - it never used to be this way and this is a backwards move. My own music should be available to me at all times, not just when the internet is working.iOS app is hopeless
The iOS app keeps crashing and even mid-song will display a different song, with the only option being to press play and then stop if you want to turn off the system.
I tried Roon once before and enjoyed it for the most part, but since I run Apple “everything” I’m very disappointed in the app. It’s very frustrating and really ought to be better given the Roon subscription cost and the endless hype in the magazines and online reviews.Show lessThe best way to experience music
Roon is amazing. It’s elemental to how I experience music. It continues to improve and enhance my appreciation for my favourite artists and fosters intelligent intuitive discovery. Roon Remote works flawlessly on all my devices. It is a joy to use.I love ROON
ROON works . If you like music and have music stored on a NAS or if you have TIDAL or QOBUZ, This is th software for you . I don’t get any crashes with to remote app and using a NUC as a core it works all the time. I’m not sure what the complainers are talking about .Bugs, bugs, bugs
The app was working for a while, but then the bugs re-emerged.
It can control audio output from the core system. It cannot detect audio output from iOS devices. It cannot get sound out of my Cambridge streamer.
The Roon library system is excellent. The Roon audio quality is excellent.
The Roon app’s inability to control remote devices is just plain annoying. I can easily control my core audio system through my Mac mini. So the app is just another tiresome remote control unit.
This is supposed to be a music-streaming app, but it cannot produce sound from most devices. A silent streamer? Come on people - fix this!Show lessThis new version crashes my I pad
since Ron updated to this version my I pad has been freezing up on a daily basis. The rooon app becomes frozen and unresponsive. However, it does continue to function from the core which is on my MacBook laptop.
IMPOSSIBLE to get any help from Ron, they direct you to their community chats, infuriating.Show lessCrashing every 10 seconds
Roon is great but the iOS app is unusable. Crashes every 10 seconds even without touching it.My favourite app
If you’re into Hifi and want to play music from your pc onto your speakers around the house… This is THE way to do it, not cheap but it works perfectly. I have some flac files and also a Qobuz subscription so I can play any song I want on any Hifi in the home. And now I can listen to everything while I’m out too with Roon arc. Such a great way to interact with your music, read about the artists, get suggestions of new music etcShow lessWorld class music streaming
I’ve been using Roon since 2015 and without doubt, it is by far the best music streaming solution available. It has fundamentally changed how I listen to music. But, it does place a requirement on you and your home. You need a solid internet connection, a strong wifi in your home, a relatively modern computer to run the Roon Core on, and a wired network connection between the Core and your router. A modicum of understanding about computer networking helps. With all that said, Roon’s online Knowledge Base goes a long way in helping with that and Roon greatly rewards those that make the effort.Show lessToo many crashes
Nice design, but too unreliable. As others have said, there are just too many crashes
