  • Love this app

Make your workouts so much easier and what I love the most is that you can see how much progress have you made. Also, let you know every time you make a new PR. Great app in general

  • Simple and almost perfect

Great clean & east app for simple tracking.

The only issue I’ve found is that you can’t rename/edit/delete an exercise name once it’s been created, so name your workouts wisely!

    Developer Response

Hi there! You actually can edit an exercise name if you created it yourself! Search for the exercise or tap it from the Today view, then hit the “…” icon at the top and then tap “Edit”
  • Fave app and best free app

Best workout app I’ve ever used. I’ve been using it since around February or so and I really like it. It does a good job at what it does and I’ve been able to combine this app with a book from renaissance periodization and really take things to the next level. With the history I can see my weights and reps for a dozen or so exercises in the blink of an eye and see patterns and make improvements. I can look right at my history and feel more confident and better about things. I can see that two months ago what weight I was at, where my reps are, and how much they went up, how much 2.5lbs or 7.5lbs makes a difference of. It only takes a few seconds on the fly and I can pick a weight and really maximize my output because I’m dropping down to a specific amount. I’m also not stuck going off memory alone of the reps I'm getting. It’s causing me to not over complicate or over compensate. If I start to doubt myself on the progress I’m making or I’m unsure of the reps I was getting I can look back and say, oh well I only started these close grip weighted push-ups 3 weeks ago and I started off at 62.5lbs at 7 reps, now I’m at 5 reps at 72.5lbs, and when I did straight drop sets on a high fatigue day I pumped out 9 reps at 62.5 on my third set. It really helps. Cuz without it I was going off memory alone and my old app wasn’t that great so I only benchmarked like twice a month.

Absolutely love this app. If you want an app to keep track of your exercises and weight this is EXACTLY the app for you. Simple and effective.

  • Solid

but NEEDS iCloud backup and import/export feature
  • Super simple and intuitive

Great logging app, interface is so clean and simple and intuitive to use. I just wish it had an option to export my data to excel or something. Workouts are only saved to device. For this reason I will keep looking for workout logging apps. This one is close to perfect though, minus lack of exporting feature.

  • Bug in latest Gains update

    iPhone 8+ IOS 14.8.1
Not sure if this is the correct forum to make this report:
Bug found when opening previous day exercise, the duplicate & save buttons are not visible in the upper area of the screen as with before Gains latest update.
  • Good start

Good start and UI but some bugs when selecting certain features causing app to crash and maybe it would be more convenient to have an option to type in weight or reps cuz no one wants to scroll for too long. Maybe allow different set counts for different exercises for the same day.

    Developer Response

Hey there. I’m actively working on upgrading Gains and fixing all of the crashes and bugs. Can you update your app to the latest version and let me know if it has improved? If you have any further support concerns, please email me at the support email provided on the App Store page or within the app itself (in the Settings screen)
