Bunq holding funds hostage !

They keep telling me daily that they will return funds that were sent to me for a sale of a personal item. They asked me for support document which I supplied, still did not get credited and every day they tell me a different lie. I told them to return the funds to the Sender, because now I’m getting sued from the buyer accusing me of stealing his money, which I’ve never received in my account and they won’t return the funds. Beware of the people, now no one answers anymore from the chat support. Don’t trust them with your funds.

Not reliable

Okay as a second account but it’s not reliable as primary — and customer support treat their bugs as if they are acceptable. Asking for patience when key features don’t work — but several weeks later and they still remain broken. They are distracted and bloated — and cannot be trusted with your money

So glad I found this bank!

Easy to use, fast and efficient. Like the features and ability to have multiple accounts within your one account.

4 years on and no issues

I have been using Bunq for more than 4 years now and the features are great, the paperless solutions is fantastic and i didn’t have any glitches whatsoever. So i am glad that i have chosen Bunq.

this is not free banking.

Be aware all accounts are paid for and are expensive. The UX is designed to get you to sign up for the top account and closing your account it’s designed to trip you up, so follow carefully. This isn’t the practice of a serious financial company at all is it, it’s tech bros playing at being a bank.

Bad experience switching to the free plan

Long story short I had to close my account because of how inconvenient it was to switch to the free plan. I got charged for a paid plan even though I requested it to be changed to the free plan BEFORE the renewal and I already paid for the current month.

I have been on a paid plan for a year. Recently I spent all my balance and got it to 0. I then tried to switch to the free plan and expected to not have to pay since I already got charged for the current month. To my surprise the app showed me that the plan will change next month after another payment is made. Indeed, I got charged for another month. Why, Bunq?

Account closed

Please I sent a friend money to help me secure an apartment, unfortunately he said that the account has been closed and the money I sent to him is the account, 7,322 euros, today makes it 32 days I sent the money, according to him he said the money will be reversed back to me, but I don’t believe he, how can I found out if the money In question has been withdrawn or still in the close account thanks

How could no one have thought of that?

Every new update, I keep on hoping that finally the global search bar has been returned and the incredible stupid Finn AI has been removed. By removing the search bar, you have removed the one thing that makes a mobile banking app a better option in the first place: the removed need to go through bank files manually to search for transactions. Digital banking started like this: the digitalization of payment records. And you guys have removed it. Extremely sad. Extremely stupid customer support. Stupid decisions like this will be bunq’s ultimate downfall.
