Beware subscription process
My sister bought me a gift subscription for one year (four quarterly magazines)which was a nice idea, but I didn’t use it right away and now not only have some credits expired, but they have auto-billed a new quarterly fee to my card. My fault for trusting them with my card info (they require it to sign up and publish). Tried to create a magazine today so I could use up the credits and cancel, but the app keeps hanging before the photos are fully loaded. Also of the two magazines I received, the quality was so-so. Good but...
This app is good but basic. I like that there aren’t a lot of options because then I don’t get sucked into making a book for hours. I would however love an option to see the final book before you publish it (cover and all) and if you go back to review something it doesn’t save changes. Also, it would be great to have 51 pictures so you can set 1 as the cover and not see it again on the next page. Just a personal preference though.Show lessmommyb9

Nicely done! High quality product. I was very impressed so I now get one catalog every quarter. I like how simple it is to choose your photos and make simple edits, not too detailed, so it doesn’t take forever to put together a photo book.Miss L Gray

Even in our world of technology, there is something special about actually holding a picture. These books provide a lovely way to organize and highlight your favorites! The books feel very quality and the app is simple to use once you get the hang of it.
It’s always a fun day when one comes in the mail! I do the quarterly subscription, which works perfectly for me because I wouldn’t have enough print-worthy pictures at this point to make it worth monthly. Maybe once I have kids, I’ll up to monthly :)

Received my first magazine and am really happy with the finished product. However, the app is not user friendly and has limited features. Once you place your order you can not view details. It also took a while to receive the magazine and I could not see any tracking information. Also, if you close out of the app and go back it does not save the selected pictures that you’ve been working on. I will keep using because I think the price is great and the end result was really nice.Show lessFflax90
Late disappointment.
I love this app and honestly feel terrible that I now hate it. The recent update took out the half page 100 photos per magazine options. It makes me so sad to see that I won’t be able to use it because I can’t afford to buy double the books. I have a full shelf of books starting in October and it makes me cringe to think I won’t be able to add more that look the same. I hope you bring back the 100 photo half page book. Even if delivery takes longer. Those are the ones I need.Show lessCh1co23

Great for Great Grandma
We love Recently! We are fortunate enough to have my husband’s grandparents still alive. They don’t use the internet so we send a monthly magazine. They love getting pictures frequently, we love how easy it is to share the magazine, and the price can’t be beat.BabyBumped
Easy enough, wish could crop better
The “crop” function only moves the photo up or down and isn’t a real crop option. It usually only makes the photo worse. There are a lot of photos that come out poorly because the app centers photos weirdly or crops out the focus of the image. Cheap and easy but the editing aspect of the book-making is seriously lacking.Show lessSeussieissues
Love the idea
I recently received my first magazine and am a little disappointed in the quality of the photos. I usually get books from Shutterfly but liked the convenience of Recently. My photos were dark and some blurry. They do not look dark or blurry when I view them on my phone.Christy'siphone
