Not working
I downloaded a pdf file of a book for school, and after a week it deleted itself like I had never downloaded it. It was around 100 pages and I had highlighted pieces of evidence I was to use for a project. Now it's gone so I don't know where to cite it.LilBisQuix

The whole book is not loading properly. I cant read the bottom part of the book since the page info cannot be minimized.appnotbest
Nice, But Missing Features
It doesn't read aloud to you like other readers do, and that's the whole reason I downloaded it (it supposedly has this feature in other computer versions). It also has kind of a funky note-taking system. You can't separate them out by section or chapter, so they're all in this clump (I use different highlight colors to separate but it isn't super helpful) and they're only really in previews so you can't reference them quickly. Additionally, it's a little glitchy for me. I've had it delete notes before that I know I made, the formatting of the words on the page get kind of messed up sometimes when the page has a figure, and loading a pdf into the app sometimes takes a few tries. And I know I've really highlighted the negatives here, but if you want an easy-to-use, no-nonsense eBook app, this one will do everything you need. It's just the "student" kind of features such as note-taking or studying aides that are lacking.Show lessiiMEii
EPUB no longer accepted?
Yeah, so looks like this app is no longer worth downloading. At all. I can no longer access ANY of my epubs. Great. Don’t even bother downloading, the most recent update has screwed the pooch on this app.redletterday77

while I know this might be to protect the book. personally, it's still very inconvenient If I only have limited copy and paste ability, My learning method requires a lot of copying as I don't write. this gives me extra time to take a screenshot and convert it into text.monkeydluffyyygshs
AMAZING for studying
- best app out there, very versatile
-can access huge range of textbooks , hughlight them and create notes really easily
-Great how u can read books offline too if you choose to download
-love how all notes kept in one place
- i also recommend it if u want to upload pdf files to read and annotate bc kortext lets you do that.Show lessapricot35

Kortext is an awesome eTextbook app for students that made my undergrad so much easier! It’s super easy to use and has tons of academic resources. You can highlight, annotate, and take notes effortlessly, and it syncs perfectly across your iPhone and iPad. The app handles PDFs and EPUBs well, and the library is really well-organized. Sometimes it crashes and offline access can be a bit glitchy, but overall, it’s a solid choice for anyone needing digital textbooks. Definitely worth a download!Show lessJustLauraa123

When you open a book (epub) most of the time, it shows blank screen. You need to quit the app and open it up again and put your runes in correct places and pray to your favourite god to get the book open properly this time.
And if the book is opened somehow, you can’t turn or scroll to other pages most of the time. The most reliable navigation is using the tiny arrows at the lower right corner of the screen.
To be fair there are good features too, to make things exciting, it randomly navigates to 3 pages back then come back to the current page again to keep you engaged.Show lessmgunal

Easy to use App just a shame about config/settings
Rather than repeat any of the accessibility review, let me simply say.
The app is great, howe the black text on a white background IOS3️⃣ is outdated.
My personal preference would be characterised as Dark Mode , white text on a black background.
Which while reading others might find more comfortable given the light pollution a phone sends your way per Chapter.Show less🎶 MB

Our app supports a couple of options you could try, if you navigate to the aA in the top of the reader when in your book, you can then set the tone to a selection of colours including dark.
