Should be simple. Not for this application.

I rarely write ratings for apps but this one is just so awful I felt I had to say something.
Where to start? At the start. The app freezes at every screen. It will sit, unresponsive, for actual minutes. It seems the best way to get anything done with it is to restart it repeatedly.
It keeps asking for my RV make and model to register it. And even after I surrendered and entered all of that information, it asksfor it again the next time I start the app. But if you quit and restart enough times it stops asking.
The functionality should be simple. Everything is binary; slide out or slide in; awning out or awning in; jacks up or jacks down; etc. But even that is too difficult. When raising or lowering the jacks they randomly switch direction, the awnings stop and start while being retracted or extended. This behavior is not seen with the RV control panel so it must be this wretched application.
There is no other option. If your RV has this installed you are stuck with it. When it works it is convenient. But I usually don’t have 30 minutes to wait for it to respond so I often just skip it and go to the control panel.

If I could rate 0 I would

This app has NEVER worked right. We’ve had our trailer for 3 years and it has never worked correctly. I thought the latest version was better, but nope. Now We can’t connect at all. Neither of our phones. And customer service hours are a joke. What about people who work? What if we were on our way out of town? I have NO WAY to access the leveling of my unit unless I am standing in it since the pad outside only has half the controls. Ridiculous! I wish there was ANY OTHER WAY to control my coach.

Cannot even get my email verified

Tried to sign up for the app and when setting up I never got an email to verify my account. I cannot use at all because of this. This app is an embarrassment to whom ever created it. I mean how hard can this be, your not inventing anything remotely new. I can control my vacuum from across the world but for some reason I cannot l get my Jay Command system to work because this app wont sent me a verification email. I hope a high school kid created this for free and donated it to Jayco or they have a serious QC issue.

Update fixed connection issue .... but ...

Feedback for the developer. Your banner images are taking up way too much screen real estate especially on an iPad in landscape mode. It’s basically unusable on the iPad in landscape mode. Please remove the images or make them optional. Take a look in Xcode simulator; you wrecked landscape mode with the images.

I do like the cleaner look. I will give you credit for trying to improve the UI. but the OneControl app has never taken advantage of screen space. People don’t want images on the screen, they want access to their information. Do that and cleanup the bugs and you will start to see improved ratings.

UPDATE: Not working in IOS 13. Ughhh. Please resolve this issue. It fails when attempting to join the WiFi network after you enter the ID and password. My IOS 12 device still work but not iOS 13 :(

Can’t make updated one work for slides

Updated my husband’s phone first. Right before updating mine I thought maybe I had better use his app awhile first. GLAD I DID! When we try to use it for the slides it shows the slides there but nothing for putting them in or out. Since our main operating screen is out, our only way to run things is from the app on our phone. We would have a big problem had I updated both phones! Not sure what else isn’t right on the new app. I do like the way it comes up now where you have instant access to your lights and can see control monitor easier.

Husband is in a complete melt down!

We have had nothing but problems with the pad in our coach, with my iPhone n my husband Samsung. The pad will shut down n we get a black screen that shows the logo. We reset it n it just does that same thing! My iPhone will not level the coach. When we try it, it will start doing something different n it will retract when your trying to extend! You can tap over n over n it will not even react n does what it wants! So we can’t use my iPhone. It will do every thing else. My husband phone updated n now it won’t go pass the account access. Says there is no account n won’t let you reset! He is pass the point of no return of your app n pad that does not work!!! And now it won’t let me post this because ever nickname I pick is taken!

New update

Update: Finally an update that let me use my app on the phone again! The new updates still require a passcode, but seems to be faster. It also asks to connect my RV WiFi if I’m not when I open the app. The best part of the update is allowing you to set favorites to the main page. Now I don’t have to go thru 5 screens to turn on one light.

Old review: My app has been working just fine. A little quirky sometimes, but usually faster than the panel inside and very helpful when the outside panel freezes up. However, I installed the latest update and when I go to login, no matter what I do, it tells me my email is not a valid email address and I can’t do anything. I get the same message even when I try to create a new account. Completely USELESS! I am not sure why no one else seems to have this problem, but it’s a big one when your update makes your app useless. I even deleted the app and reinstalled it. Nothing works!

Push notification suggestion!

Now that the app has been “repaired” for IOS product I’m very pleased with the operation... developers could i suggest the addition of “Push alerts/Notifications? Is it possible? For example for gray water... if you could add a feature that when the gray water hits the 66% it would send you a notification to your connected device, then send you another when it’s at 100% I think this addition would be fantastic. But make sure it’s an option if implemented because some tank indicators are in operational and may constantly send people notices. Anyway would love to see something like that to help me from over flowing my darn grey tank all the time while doing laundry.

“If it ain’t broken..,

I’ve used the original app for 18 months now and have never had a problem. A month ago or so, they totally revamped the app ... not sure why since it doesn’t seem to add anything and is hardly to use. I spent several hours trying to get connected since it wouldn’t recognize my pin, my password or email. By some miracle it worked the next morning, however, the leveling is quicky. Instead of stopping when I lift my finger off the Front button and keeps on lifting (very dangerous) I had to exit the app to make it stop. So now they updated again yesterday and none of the leveling functions work. What a waste. Just bring back the original app, please!

Also, why did you bring back the annoying PIN?

And, if I accidentally activate the app before going into settings to connect to the WiFi, the app wipes out my existing password, requiring me to reenter it.., a total pain in the a**.

Do yourself a favor and do not Update

Controls are very unresponsive when using controls the in and out buttons when released do not respond like when you move your slides in they keep going until they pop the breaker on the pump when I was hooking up to my camper I went to lower it an inch and it went down about six before it stopped luckily it did not sit down on the side rails of my truck this new app is a lawsuit waiting to happen The old app may have not been perfect but at least it worked
