Love it, but…

I love having the ability to see which brands are more sustainable and ethical. This part of the app is great, and I have no problems with it. However there is a huge problem with how prices are rated.
Many of the stores that are listed as cheap are pretty expensive for the average person in my opinion. In a lot of stores, t-shirts are $30 and sweatshirts can go up to $60. Some will sell a singular scrunchie or hairband for $15+. These prices are not at all cheap and should not be listed as such. For reference, I would consider $10-15 for a shirt to be cheap, maybe even less. Please take this into consideration.

Inaccurate and wrong about most brands

These ratings are completely Inaccurate and biased. Made in third world product is higher rated than first world in many cases - which is WRONG but UNETHICAL. They do no due diligence. DO NOT TRUST THIS APP!

Best, and Only, App of It's Kind

My go-to app for quick audits of sustainable, ethical fashion brands and advice. I have been using this on a weekly basis for years. They give you the breakdown of manyyy fashion brands by rating them based on labour statistics, use of animal products, and environmentally sustainable policies. I am able to perform my own in depth research based off of their findings. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this database. They also post articles on various topics within the fashion industry, from which I've learned a great deal. It's difficult to filter through all of the information (and misinformation) out there, making a site like this absolutely necessary.

Great app that no longer works.

I have had this app for a while and love it- I find it really useful. However for the past couple of months, it just hasn’t worked- whenever I try to search for a brand, it just has the loading icon constantly and never finishes loading. It’s also deleted the list of all of my favourites brands. I have the most up to date version- extremely disappointed it is still not working.

BoopBop for clothing

This is essentially boop bop for clothing. If you’ve never seen American Pickle, then you won’t know what I’m talking about. I hope this app takes off and creates apps for other items like foods, equipment, etc

Inaccurate or even biased?

There are brands on your app that are certified b corps meaning that they are held to the highest environmental and social standards yet in some categories and even overall you rate them as not good enough or it’s a start? Makes me not trust your information and how you portray these brands.

Just no

They do not share their resource. How are we suppose to know if you are rating these brands based on accurate information rather than your own likings? Not only that but the suggestions of brands instead of the “unethical brand” are HORRIBLE. It’s either too expensive or it doesn’t have the actual products you need. Each section of clothing is suppose to have ethical brands that we can support, but instead the brands don’t actually have those materials. For example in shoe section there are brands for jacket. In bag section there are brands for clothing.
Don’t download this app it’s a waste of space.

Great initiative

This is a really good idea for an app and I think it’s important to promote ethical brands but it’s not very applicable to most young people. I think a lot of the featured sustainable brands are aimed at a middle aged audience.
I also have an alternative style and I would really like to see some more ethical alternative brands on here such as Mary Wyatt London. Many young people continue to buy from fast fashion because there aren’t enough low-cost ethical brands that cater to a younger audience.

Wonderful But There Should Be Some Fixes

Hi I am a newly found well not so newly found
13 year old Climate Advocate and Activist!
I am also coming in to other activist areas in my life🙂🌍🌎🌏🪱🐝🦋🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️✌️✊🏿

So this app has been very helpful to me in so many different ways it is made me feel strong and informed and it’s an amazing place/app to start and get more informed and then branch out.

Another thing that is so wonderful about this app is it there are so many wonderful articles that I have read that are amazingly really informational and great suggestions I do love that aspect of the app almost more than some of the others.💜

One of the things that does bother me though is that there is not more specific place filters for instants I live near North Carolina and more specifically in the Virginia area I cannot find many things that are actually in my area which is kind of hard for me I do have places in my area that I’ve already found but it would be nice to be able to find more.

I love what you were doing with it and the amount of time that you take into this but I would love to see some improvement and some range in the more specific places allow in the filters.

Thank you so much for hearing me out and have a lovely day.💜💙💚💛🧡❤️💖

PS
thank you Emma Watson

Great and Important concept but inaccurate

I love the idea behind the app but i think it’s impossible to know how ethical a brand really is. These reviews are very sweeping, for example they disallow for any clothes to be made in most of africa and Asia (Asia has the largest proportion of certified ethical and sustainable manufacturers) despite the fact that some of the worst modern slavery occurs in the west. It feels like more research needs to be done on behalf of the app if it aims to propagate a reliable research/fact based service.
