Ruined with most recent update
I use Patreon to play short lessons in a foreign language, and the app worked excellently for over a year because I could go to “Played” and revisit the lessons I had already studied in a playlist. They have removed this and a number of other features, making their app far less usable than before. Now you cannot even permanently download audio files, once you play them, they leave your download file. And there’s no way to see all the audio files you have previously played for revisiting.
I feel terrible because I will probably not renew my subscription to this excellent Patreon creator of no fault of their own. I can only play each new lesson chronologically in the order produced, making it impossible to revisit and zero in on specific installments to study and slowing down my language learning.
Unless you want to use this app to listen to a podcast and never revisit it again, it is basically useless as an audio platform. They used to allow many more capabilities for a more customized listening and usage experience but for some reason got rid of all of that. And unless you are a creator who produces content that you never want revisited, I would suggest finding a different platform.

Loves to take my money randomly
I really wish it wouldn’t just randomly charge me in the middle of the night, weeks after I didn’t pay for a membership. Like wow? You didn’t try to take money out of my account until I had it. Literally my last dime too that I can’t even refund.
good app, terrible app store
I’ve been a generally happy user of this app, but I am deleting it because I do not wish to support Apple’s rent-seeking tactics. The Web site is perfectly fine for my purposes. Note to Patreon: don’t take this lying down!
Use the Web version
Apple is implementing a 30% price increase for subscriptions when using the app.
The app itself isnt that good either, use the web version to support creators without apples greed affecting your wallet.

A breath of fresh air in a stale media age
To have a different prospect and open mind discussions platform in DDN vs the single narrative, single size and enforced propaganda mainstream media. Please keep the good and varied discussions going.
Patreon for chronic pain patients is a must
Here you will find through The Doctor Patient Forum with Claudia, Mirandi and Beverly, so many tools. As chronic pain patients, we all have limitations. But they help us use what we are able to. I trust them with my life. I know we are very limited and our money. But if you can just give a little and if you can’t, you can still participate. Highly highly recommend getting involved with this group and Don’t Punish Pain and the national Pain council. I will share with you resources that you must have. There is a gentleman who was a doctor and he knows so much technology and what the DEA is doing illegally and unethically. I will be providing you with this information. Be patient with me because I’m still trying to figure out my way around. I’m a former nurse practitioner. I research every day to try to help us. May God bless us and let’s all work together get over our differences and come together.

Broken notifications controls
I’ve recently started receiving push notifications from this app of the form “A message from <name> is getting a lot of reactions, check it out,” and I can’t seem to disable these messages.
There’s an area within this app’s settings that seems like it would let me opt out of any email or push notifications regarding comments, but these notifications are still appearing. To add injury to the inciting insult, tapping on these notifications does not even summon the named person’s post, so what’s even the point to begin with? The Patreon “platform” is getting crummier by the month…
I don’t care about what other members of the peanut galleries I’m in have to say about anything at all, and I’d prefer to not even be made aware that they’re commenting or that their comments are generating lots more collateral stupidity. Please, Patreon, let me stifle the push notifications your app is sending in the vain hope that I’ll “engage with the larger community supporting my favorite creators.” Blech I feel dirty having even typed that quoted phrase, but I figured if I talk your lingo you’d get what I’m asking about.

Shuts down
This app I love because of who I follow but it’s incredibly annoying that it’ll just randomly shut down and push me out of the app. I have hoped with each update that it’d be fixed but it hasn’t. It’s annoying paying for an app that just shut downs while watching or commenting something. I do hope this fault is fixed soon.

Terrible app
This app is terrible. The user interface is really bad. There isn’t even an option for to add, update, or change payment info within the app unless your payment has already been entered on the webpage previously. They’re currently still charging a card that has been expired…
Hard to navigate, no way of knowing if you listened to something already, no way to tell which of your content is related to your subscribed tier when so you can see the difference in content, comments get lost when you want to go back to them, there’s a community but it would be cool if I could follow users as well to see what content they watch to find content of similar interests. The app freezes & there’s wonky issues when changing from portrait view to landscape.
I can’t really say anything I like about the app. I honestly wouldn’t use it if I didn’t have to. I’ve been using it for years and the app has always been bad. It’s better than it’s been, but still has a long way to go before it’s no longer a nuisance to use to listen to my fav podcasts.
