  • One of the best DAWs for iOS

I heard about AUM for years, and I wasn’t sure if it would add much since I have almost all the DAWs for iPad (Auria pro, BM3, LP, Cb3) but I absolutely love AUM. It is one of the best DAWs and certainly an essential tool for iOS and iPadOS music production. You can experiment with endless configurations, routings, and there are so many tools for hardware. It is all so seamless. The GUI is gorgeous and it is a pleasure to work in. The developer is one of the biggest talents for this platform and iOS is lucky to have Kymatica as an exclusive dev. The more extensive 5 star reviews are no exaggeration. You should definitely get AUM if you are a music producer on iOS.

  • Every iPad musician needs to know

If you’re playing live, you’re doing it the hard way if you aren’t playing out of AUM. This is iPad’s killer app for musicians, imo. It pulls together all your music-making apps, and you can custom-control everything.

To say it upped my game is a massive understatement, and I can get done on ONE keyboard what used to take hauling around several boards in a massive rig. Each of our songs has its own pre-configured scheme and it takes 3-5 seconds to switch between them. AUM enabled me to go ALL-IN on iPad music.

  • This is the best workflow on any device.

I’ve been using this with AudioShare for years now and I really want to be able to use it on my brand new Mac. What’s it gonna take for you to make a version that is available and signed on the Macstore for macOS? I use logic and I believe this would be a very big compliment with logic. If we all pitched in a dollar we could get this thing rolling.

It reminds me of the board that I trained on when I was younger. I trained on a very expensive pro tools board that was analog and digital, and the size of a cathedral hall. this makes everything so much easier. Please make this available for macOS for those of us that have the newer Mac’s. If you’re reading this, thanks for reading and I hope this inspires you because you are one talented developer. I hope that you’re able to port this over soon. This would complement logic very well. I don’t normally do reviews. AudioShare should also be ported over as it is indispensable in my workflow, I was trained to always cut and fade as they say in ProTools, but this made it so much easier with AudioShare and AUM. thank you for making music fun again.

  • Still Unmatched

For nearly a decade I’ve been doing sound design and composing music using my iOS devices. While at first a lot of that was out of curiosity and for my own amusement, its become a viable professional platform in the last few years. One app has been a constant through almost all of that time, AUM. I can’t even imagine what doing sound work on iOS would be like without this app having been made. The developer has also done a phenomenal job of staying close to the community, listening to feedback and continually improving the app over the years. It has only gotten better and more incredible. Now there is Logic for the iPad but they aren’t the same thing and aren’t mutually exclusive in any way. I really kind of wish there was AUM available for macOS so I could just work in the same way. Regardless, its absolutely essential imo and worth every single penny. A big thank you to the dev. I see you man, big ups for all your work.

  • essential

whether you’re making music in a DAW or still using audiobus or just diving into music making on iPad or iPhone, AUM is a must have. The developer is quite accessible and always improving this product. The negative reviews I’ve seen are definitely a “them” problem, meaning either they aren’t patient or advanced enough to take full advantage of this mixer or they simply don’t understand what AUM does. • Game-changer for live performance

This is incredibly useful for running a live performance keyboard set up from an iPad. I am new to this, and it is working super well. In conjunction with MidiFire and MidiFlow, I am able to achieve everything I need to between programming various MIDI controls and routing and controlling audio. Maybe I could’ve done it all in one program, but I know how to use those other two, and I find each better at certain things.

Some apps display a little better than others in here- Korg Module is too zoomed in, and I can’t seem to access the velocity curve setting, although I can modify that from outside MIDI apps.

  • Great App, with 1 weakness

Great app, pretty much an essential on both my IPad and using IPad apps with my desktop, it’s an amazing mixer for all my iPad instruments and affects and then some. The only weakness is that it doesn’t receive midi sync, which is pretty sad. For instance Id love to be able to sequence my hardware synth with my MPC and record them into AUM and have AUM wait for a midi sync signal to start recording. I wish the developer knew how amazing that would be , but every app has at least on major flaw. Other than that it’s amazing.

  • Please, iPhone Landscape mode please 😭

AUM is a beast, there is no need to be specific the ratings speak for themselves - it’s either this baby, ApeMatrix or Loopy (at least for me), all other “DAWs” (not that these are “DAWs”), simply cannot compete.

Regardless, AUM has had this “flaw” for years now, I’ve been asking for an iPhone landscape mode and I simply cannot imagine I’m the only one - AUM on iPhone is kind of a pain to handle (constantly needing to rotate the device is honestly an experience killer).

Please consider adding landscape mode for once and for all - it would be greatly appreciated.

As for everything else - AUM is TOP DAWG for real.

Enjoy it - trust me - you will!

  • Brand NEW ios musician

I am brand new to making music on iOS and have been fumbling around and doing research in all realms and finally came upon AUM being something that every musician should have… the more I use it the more I discover… I originally thought it was just a random mixing app but it is much much more… it has become the glue that holds all of music apps together in one convenient place… once you get past the initial learning curve you be be pleasantly surprised again and again when you unearth more and more features…
