Excellent / be careful of damage

I never want to deal with another car rental agent again. I hate having to waste time filling out forms. This is absolutely the way forward. Everything went smoothly except a small issue with them trying OVERCHARGE for damage. I got a widescreen chip due to a stone thrown up by another car. The process of reporting damage was perfect but they immediately wanted to replace the entire windscreen. After mailing them multiple times to query this, I had no reply. A week later, after I’d assumed I’d get no where and thinking I’d not use them again, they suddenly decided to charge to simply fix the chip and charged me accordingly. This was what I’d have expect and feel was fair. They just need to improve their communication to maintain trust. That said, I’m sure every other rental company would have over charged and I would still be fighting.

Sign up process way too long

I just want to see if the prices are even decent and if they cover the areas I frequent but you have to upload this and that and the ui doesn’t even auto grab the sms code. Wasn’t even sure if I could use this app with my foreign license and passport from a 3rd country. Will stick with hertz and sixt who have solid premium cars just better to deal with an actual human especially when I’m spending $200/day sometimes 😂 also I like getting my Iberia or Bonvoy points and nothing in the sign up process gave me the confidence that I would get any white glove service esp after reading that 2 star review. Don’t think these people know how to provide top shelf Vip service quality

Best rental car experience iv ever had!

Wow! Top!!! Best rental car experience i have ever had EVER! Easiest process, found the car easily through the app, unlocked with my amazing virtual key and i drove out within 3 mins! I have been renting cars for the past 10 years and this is by far the future! The fact that there is a virtual key and i dont have to deal with anyone, no paperwork at the counter ...no waiting in line. Its super smooth and user friendly i love it! 100% recommend it!!!

Not a smooth experience

Car was parked in an underground car park for which the entrance instructions were unclear and didn’t work, car key didn’t work properly initially due to lack of signal. First car smelled strongly of cigarettes and had a fault. Customer service all done over chat on the app (despite saying “call us”) which a. Requires signal (not present in an underground car park) and b. Takes a few minutes to respond to each sentence so incredibly slow to get anything done. Ended up taking about an hour from arriving to getting going as a result so not a smooth experience at all.

They did switch cars and the replacement was good and better than most rentals in London, but whole experience was soured. I won’t be using again despite the credit they offered.

Limited communication account refused 0 reasons

They ask you to sign up, photograph all your paper work, book a car, pay for it. This all takes a valuable amount of time and forces a degree of commitment to Virtuo for your car rental needs.. Account gets refused and all the above rolled back, with no or ambiguous reasons.. Was my passport photo not clear enough, am I allowed to rent as an Australian on an Australian drivers license???
Try another rental company.. These people will happily waste your time and not tell you why!!

Great User Experience and Smooth Car Rental

My car rental from another rental company was cancelled last minute and I had to find another car to rent urgently. I was able to go through the process of verification quickly because I had sent a message to customer support through the app that it was an urgent request. The customer support was so efficient and communicative. They expedited the whole process and I was able to complete the verification and pick up the car within the hour.

Not only was the customer service amazing but the technology with the app and car was so impressive. You can deal with your entire car rental just through your phone (a millennial’s dream come true!) All the information you need is detailed in the app and if you still have any questions, you can chat with customer service through the app. The key for the car is also in the app. The Mercedes I got was new and comfortable to drive.

I am based in London and I only know how to drive automatic cars. Their prices for a luxury automatic vehicle in Central London are much less expensive than other traditional car rental companies’ prices. Great value, great user experience, and they saved my weekend getaway by expediting the verification process so I could rent the car quickly, last minute. Forget the traditional car rental companies, go Virtuo! Couldn’t recommend it more!

Horrible customer service. Dirty cars at pick up. Not a great bargain

I have rented 2ice through Virtuo. First time I guess everything was fine except the fact that the car was slightly dirty and the interior smelled like an old taxi but I thought this might have been a fluke and gave them the benefit of the doubt.

Second time, I wanted to amend my rental about 15 hrs before it started (make it 2hrs earlier on pickup and drop off). Contacted customer service and although I explained the situation, the representative gave me a copy/paste answer that was irrelevant to what I was asking. When I called her out (politely to have a 2nd look), she said “well this is for the next time you use us 😉” with a wink ... Unprofessional but carried on. Then she told me that after she did some research the car was unavailable to be picked up earlier. Then I actually researched it myself and I saw that there is a policy that doesn’t allow amendments on airport pickups. Told her that she shouldn’t lie and learn her job - as I was in the right since she wasted my time. Then she responded with a GIF and in the most sarcastic way possible.

And when I picked my car was again dirty and the interior smelled...

Prices are very comparable to the rest of the market and the only upside is the use of the app. Other than that it’s a horrible service and I advise to stay away

Virtuo Disabled My Account After A Seccessful Booking

This service just killed my account after I rent a car from them for 10 days and want to extend for 2 more days. For some reasons, my credit card needs international verification step to send back and forth SMS verification code to my phone, this is where the issue came from: after the redirect and successful verification, the app sent me a confirmation. But later an email sent to me and said booking on hold because of anomaly. I contacted their customer service immediately, a lady told me my account is disabled and will no longer be able to use in the future because of I didn't follow their terms of condition. And in her original words: "You will no longer be able to rent with us, I'm afraid this decision from our security department is final and not negotiable." So then anomaly can cause nonnegotiable conditions, huh? Later check with their supervisor and got a response that someone else is driving so my order is cancelled, not because I violate the terms of service. So this does not even make sense. YOU DON'T DISABLE AN ACCOUNT BECAUSE YOU DETECT THERE IS AN ADDITIONAL DRIVER! In purchasing step there is a place that asked me "is there an addional driver" and I clicked YES! This service is so awkwardly designed and I don't recommend it.

Great customer service. Great user experience. As someone who works in consumer-facing apps, I know exactly how hard it is to pull off such a great app. Virtuo does it. Color me impressed.
