Got this camera and had issues since day one. I had one refunded back and now the 2nd one i had originally bought is going bad (doesn’t show night vision as when first purchased) although they do serve the function of viewing recording is another. The only way to get records is to have it save to your phone, laptop, hard-rive or cloud service. I haven’t got it able to record like when I first
Purchased. I agree with some of the reviews I have google WiFi and now it reacts better while connected. The issues I’ve had so far:
Connectivity issue
Software issue
Hardware issue
App notifications issue
Saving records issue
It does send me pics to my email server so I’ll give it that.
App and software need to be updated to meet the standards expected.
I purchased ring for my door and works amazing the notifications are on point and looks 1080 all the time. With these I have to constantly change the view from 480 to 720 .
Very hard to configure for first time users.
My thoughts are they do do the job but not as how any person would like. It’s like having a lazy employee and reminding him to do his work. I had someone hit my car on the street and I could see at night due to cameras night vision not working 100% and did not record .Overall
3/5 stars just because I didn’t expect them to work up until now
I would have given this 5 stars, but in the past week something has changed. We used to be able to view the camera on my phone, my husbands phone, and our iPad at the same time - but now we are only able to view from one device at a time. Please update this so we can go back to using multiple devices!
We got this when my Mom came home for hospice care so we had eyes on her 24 hrs when we were doing chores around the house! This gave us a little more freedom than we would normally have.
We initially bought this camera to assist with training for our dog who suffers from separation anxiety. We can watch her behavior when we leave and talk to her to help keep her calm. We realized that she stayed on our bed when we were gone, so we put a second one upstairs. We put two more cameras in our vacation house for the same reason and serendipitously found them to be effective security monitors as well. Easy to install, setup, and use. Very responsive support if you have any questions. Five stars from us!
I don’t understand why people reviewing cameras here. There are few different cameras (I believe) out there. This is about application.
I didn’t have a problem to set it up. My problems with usability:
1. Without SDcard some features doesn’t work, but app doesn’t say anything about that
2. Slow panning
3. The biggest one: THERE IS NO PRIVACY MODE!
1) Can’t use the slider bar function to navigate in a recorded video. You have to watch the whole clip, even if you only need he lost 10 seconds.
2) Motion detection doesn’t seem to work very well, misses events. It triggers really easy if the light changes brightness on camera though.
3) Recorded video creates a lot of audio echo.
It is pretty easy to use. Much better than my D link camera.
One star off because after 6 months, of use, one camera broke.
But the customer service guy, Jerry is really great. He will be sending me a new replacement camera!

We tried a couple different cameras prior to this one and had lots of problems with them going offline and we could no longer access them without having someone go into the house and reset. Since we live in Florida and the camera is at our lake home in Minnesota, this was a real problem. But now we’ve had the Wansview camera online for six months and have never had to reset. We love that it can pivot around and give us different views.
App will “see” my camera, but is not able to send WiFi credentials to the camera, so I can’t get it online. I have no desire to even attempt cable method, I didn’t buy a wireless camera to use a cable. If you are downloading app, it is probably too late, but you should just avoid the camera.
I have no real complaints about this camera. It works for our needs, records on the computer, let’s me see what’s going on from anywhere. The only thing I dislike is I can’t get a notification when there is motion. I set the app up to notify me and I see the time stamp in the message button in the app. But my phone does not actually ring to tell me there is motion. Other than that, very simple easy to use camera!
