One of the clunkiest app I ever had to use
I was afraid it would be not great from the first time I installed it, before buying the controller but if you don’t have a connection to a live controller the app is practically unusable so you can’t really figure out what you’ll get.
The weird part of it is the “smartest” feature of adjusting the schedule based on the weather forecast. It wanted to delay the watering when next day it was a 25 degrees and partially cloudy sky. Other time it wanted to go ahead with the watering schedule even if it was totally a rainy day… I don’t know… probably it doesn’t understand my zip code. I would rather preferred to have a map and I could see my own location and I would have more trust it locate me well.
Even after i deactivated the seasonal adjustment - it went from 115% to only 33% in a matter of days - the schedule for watering is still 33%, no change… I will delete the schedule and start over.

App works but is underwhelming
I was hoping to be able to run zones individually from the app without having to run through a whole program.
Also disappointing that you can’t pause an event.

It’s good.. but could be better
It’s great to have the option to adjust and manually turn on zones. However, I find it clunky and slow. It often crashes and or comes up with communication errors.
Look for alternatives
This app suffers from a design flaw which means every time you use it, it needs to download the settings from your irrigation system which is a slow process. The app also produces connectivity errors more often than it actually works, which means you need to manually close it and reload it to force the app to download those irrigation settings again. The app user experience is overwhelmed by this problem.

Very good system, needs a few tweaks
I really love this app and controller. You can be anywhere in the garden and turn on and off the sprinklers, perfect for fault finding and cleaning etc.
A big thing I feel is missing is to be able to turn off the watering schedule program via the app. Similar to turning the dial on the controller to off. We can’t water in Perth during winter so to be able to turn off via the app would be great as my controller location is not easy to reach.
But it is a game changer for those with finicky sprinklers.

Just had our system installed. Live in Canada. We use Celsius here not Fahrenheit. Would appreciate an upgrade to have my weather download with the proper temperature.

Ease of mind
Since the installation of the sprinkler system and Rainbird the chore of manually watering the lawn and gardens has been eliminated. The lawn and gardens look better and we don’t have to worry about watering while we are away.
Need weather projection and adjustment
Hi, couples weeks now I have had this app without any complaints. I’d like to suggest tho, syncing your weather app to the controllers to adjust the amount of time needed for watering the zones. Kind of like the hunter models do. So if it weather picks up it rains a lo, t it shuts it off automatically or lowers the time per zone. Otherwise great app, I love rainbird products!
