App is terrible
I enjoy reading The Local and pay for the premium service, but the app is awful. Photos don’t load, many website features are missing, like finding all of the word of the day articles in one place. I contacted them and they said an update was coming, but it’s been too long.datru
Not worth paying
Was a great alternative for keeping up to date with current events in Deutschland spontaneously, now they‘re charging. I will just watch the news lol

Broken under iOS 13
Entirely broken. You can log in but cannot retrieve articles. I hope the developers fix this soon.iphonegameryo
Rubbish
Absolutely rubbish app...would have given 0 starts if it was possible.
The App keeps forcing you to signup, it won’t even let you read the free stories even for those it keeps pushing you to sign up...deleting it now!
Shame it used to be such a good website to browse and read articles, if they needed to charge they should have put smalls fees not the ridiculous amount they asking + if some articles are free the app should let you read them not keep opening a pop up window where you have to sign up and can’t close it.Show lessBen_stevens12345

Sad news now subscription only
I have been using this app for 8 years
Its a very basic sponge for news in sweden.
However the articles are pretty much basic things- not in depth articles. Junk news really.
Fine without subscription - but utterly pointless for 49 euro per year. Im happy to subscribe to apps that give me a lot - im also happy to contribute to the guardian uk for example..
But the quality of the news on the local is just about at a level of a free paper like the metro.. just translated into english. See you later - local!Show lessbingo c
