My honest thoughts
It was fun and cool at the start. I was struggling to learn and this helped me. I will keep this short but the overall app was great. It is almost like a pay-to-play app. I only use the free version so I don’t know anything about the subscription stuff. The only thing that concerns me is the automated messages. You only get to type in korean. And when you don’t, the messages are automated. I didn’t get it (the verb stem things) on my first try and it told me to move on. And I had no say in it. They also use emojis or emoticons such as ❤️🥰😍😘. I picked other replies if possible. They creep me out. It might mean showing love but it’s just weird. I would not recommend this for younger kids. I love this app, it felt like I was fluent in the language.. even though I wasn’t- but still it’s a lot of fun and I feel like I can learn a lot better with this app. This app is very throughout and detailed, which I love. This is also really great for learning about the culture and things like that- I wish other apps did the same thing. This app is great— although that’s not what I’m here to talk about. The why this app is built and they it teaches you is really fascinating to me, and I hope that you guys will have a lot more language app like this- if that is an option, then I REALLY HOPE that you guys can do Thai language and everything about the culture and things like that— cause if you guys were to do that, then I’d be the first one to download it and be fluent by tomorrow! I hope you guys can at least think about this suggestion, but nonetheless- I love Eggbun and all of the apps it has..Show lessLostInTheDreamMX

I personally love this app because I love how you can have a challenge but also learning something is very challenging. However, it is very educational and I’m actually running thinks it’s not too hard to the point where I’m confused stuck but it is a little challenging to wear my brain has the process what is going on I love this app and I read it five out of five because it is amazing. It’s always amazing and keep up the good work because it truly is amazing and I’m glad I have an app like this because I really am interested in learning Korean and this app helps me learn the writing style. I’ve learned a lot so far in just a little time and although I haven’t made much progress, I still do love this app there is one issue though which is the point that when I try to go onto a new lesson I can’t, and end up running out of my lesson for the day because I end up retaking the one from yesterday if you could show me how to fix this then everything would be all right and I would give this a five out of five again thank you❤️Show lessgetiud Ffff he
The wave of the future in language learning
I had made fitful starts for the past two years to learn Korean. I am working full time and going to a university part time, so I’m very busy. Therefore I needed to have bite-sized lessons. Outside of a classroom, textbooks give good information, but there’s no good feedback, so I wanted something that was interactive. I had tried personal tutors but their schedule was hard to match with mine since they lived half a world away. So I wanted real-time interaction at any time of the day I had some free time. Eggbun has fulfilled all of these requirements with its “Lenny” AI. I’m very pleased so far and hope to study regularly enough to sit for the TOPIK test next year!Show lessLuojieli

I constantly have issues with mic not registering what I’m saying it or registering what I am saying when I haven’t even clicked the yellow mic.
I find it much easier to learn if I can repeat the words to make sure I am saying them right but the mic sensitivity issue makes it so difficult and frustrating. As the words will not erase even when I erase them and click mic again all previous words deleted come back to text line. I got a three month subscription and will most likely not renew after it’s over due to that.Show lessDarylQ
Customer Service lacking
I only signed up for premium because of an ad promising a refund if not satisfied during a sale. I quickly discovered that app doesn’t really offer me anything I’m not already getting elsewhere. If I cancel through apple I won’t get the refund. I will be stuck with the app for a year before expiration. So I used the “contact” feature through the eggbun app to inquire how I could get my refund and I haven’t gotten any response. I essentially lost $70 on an app I’ll never use. They reached out to me immediately about my purchase. And the app itself is so cute as well, I also love that it makes you use the real keyboard it makes learning the letters intuitive instead of just clicking the answers you have to look for the right letters on the keyboardOmgkorean

I love how i can access the Korean community and a decent amount of lessons for free but they take quite some time to load! I am not too confident in purchasing a subscriotion if the app isnt speedy and keeps loading everytime i click to a new lesson/tab. Other than that, this app is a treasure! 😍nerdnoob101

Can you developers like change the app to give 1 whole lesson per day instead of just 1 part of the lesson per day pleasee🥹? Or can you like add a feature where you can watch a ad to unlock parts of a lesson instead of waiting a whole day for it?ushygushy112
Why
I remember getting the “in app purchases” warning but I thought like in most apps, I could skip it. Now I’m trying to go back to learning it and it’s charging my card things it shouldn’t be charging. Luckily I have no money on my card but if I did I would’ve been so upset that something took my money. Why should I have to pay to learn??… that’s kind of upsetting. I’d rather have ads pop up every now and then instead of paying.Show lessappleoly
