One of the best messaging apps with e2e encryption and group chat encryption. And it’s FREE. The best thing is that I can use my own server.hch_63()

Too hard and unfriendly
Tried twice. On an iPad it’s too cryptic. It claims to save your iPad password but it lies. You have to ask for a new strong password reset.

Empty room issue
You know what’s really annoying and I can’t do anything about it but I should????
When rooms are empty and I can’t leave them!! They just appear in my messages or room log but I can’t get rid of them. It’s so absolutely unacceptable at this point. Months go by, update after update, but no one seems to be able to fix this issue. I have like 20 empty rooms that take up my screen that when I try to leave, they say the room doesn’t exist therefore I can’t leave them...........Show lessPanicLiz
Umable to reconfigure server
It seems impossible to reconfigure it to point to different servers, it just wait forever trying to connect to the wrong server. Also it would be useful to be able to configure multiple synapse servers.boris 79
Pretty poor UX
Chat updates feel quite laggy, especially notifications. Biggest flaw is an inability to show me the first unread message in a thread. It's almost unusable because of this; it just take you to the last messages and you have to scroll backwards.DunkyBunks
