Very not ready for daily use.
The sound of each notification is too low.
Sometime receive notification sometime not.
The app crash a lot for no reason.
So many other thing too.
The only good with this app is video chat (5 stars)

Buggy
Messaging is fine, but still buggy. I will see my previously sent messages over and over as if I recently sent them. Also, calls are awful. Half of the time they will not work. For some reason when I open apps or photos from the app, the speaker button will turn off. Very annoying app to use. Need to improve how calls work on mobile.Show less3eeeu
Bugs
Keyboard hovers over messages after a message was sent. Read status updates even if other person didn’t read a message yet. Everything else seems ok. Thank you.dragonslayer80
2 minute limit on voice messages is asinine.
Why did you limit our messages. I’m describing an event that took place over the course of 4 hours. It cuts me off and is impossible to use anymore. Please increase the limit to 10+ minutes.sypchpcohcyocphv
It's annoying it doesn't support background uploading files and photos

Was trying messaging apps to stay in touch with my family which is abroad, and wanted to stop using Meta products.
I found the UX of Element to be better than Wire (the bar is low) but the live video chat was a fiasco. The video was poor quality and became totally laggy, then out of sync within seconds.
Which makes this app unusable for me, unfortunately. Currently using Signal and FaceTime which are kind of satisfying.Show lessFabulousRice

It could be so good, but lungs make it unreliable. Randomly notifications will stop working, what good is a chat client if you don’t get notifications? This has been going on for years…

A buggy disaster, even years later
Extremely disappointed with the lack of progress in Element. This is the biggest blocker for mass adoption of Matrix - buggy, incomplete clients. Frequent E2EE failures, generic error messages, failures to join rooms, cache problems, room names not loading, etc. The list of outstanding, serious bugs is incredibly large - just go look on the GitHub repository.Show lessGman7871
Horrible, No Accessibility!
When Element was first launched after download, there was no place to create an account. The reason why is because I have my iphone set to large text for visual impairment and the account creation did not appear unless I changed the iphone settings to normal text. Element was immediately deleted from my iphone. Signal and Telegram do not have this issue, so Element needs to have inclusion for those who need accessibility to navigate on their phone!Show lessdnd9691
