This app is garbage. At first it was pretty easy to use, but once I switched phones, I couldn’t view any of my previous posts or profile, but it shows that I have posts. I tried searching the cars I posted by vin only to find that all my info I posted was gone. Lists weren’t saved either. This app has so much more to work on on, it already has the community but it’s limitations make it not worthwhile to use. I tried going on the website and it’s just as bad. No way to view your profile or posts, and it doesn’t save hardly anything. This app could take some ideas from wheelwell which is a much more developed website with similar ideas to this. Spend a little money and hire someone to redo the entire app and I’ll come back, at this point I’m moving on.Show lessApp reveiws 01
Best app for car enthusiasts.
This is a wonderful idea and a fun and informative app for car enthusiasts. No ads either. I’ve been using this app every day for months.
Features I’d love to see:
- Add multiple photos to a post
- Tag other vehicles in a post: if you have a photo of two cars together, you have to post them on both and write the other vehicle’s VIN on the post.
- Edit posts: far too often I make a typo, and I can’t edit it so I have to delete it. I’d at least like to have the ability to copy the text so I can paste it rather than typing it all over again.
- “Like” comments
- “Save” or “Follow” posts you want to go back to later.Show lessabtarbox

Very fun and informative
I stuck with the fact that there was no instant messaging, no likes, no subcategories or tabs to see who you follow along with quite a few other things it’s needed. Then it apparently crashed site wide and deleted HUNDREDS of histories of the cars I’ve tracked from car shows along with an extensive history of my own vehicles. I’m not willing to take hours to re-enter all the histories.Show lessNdjucjedbd
All of my posts are gone after a year
I’ve been using VINWiki for about a year now. Last week it said my session timed out and to log back in. Upon logging back in, all of my posts are gone. Everything. It still shows my post count as 75+, but they’re not in my feed, and the cars I’ve posted to no longer have my posts.
How disappointing. If this isn’t fixed, I probably won’t keep using the app.Show lessStephenkirsh
Great app keep it going
This is a great time to expand and include as many international markets (canada) as you can. Experiencing some connection/app issues at this time. Ed you need to start presenting/driving cars, I enjoy listening to your perspective on youtube. Canadian users can look up vins with a plate via drive clean website, only for 3 yearish old cars in ontario.Show lessmattttucker
Great, but could use some features
I really enjoy this app, and I think it’s a great idea, but when using it there were a few things that I felt were missing. First when using the search function, having a way to filter by year, make, model, and other filters would be useful. When creating a post for a car having a box for exterior color and interior color would be useful and help when searching for specific cars. Also the ability to edit your own post and to be able to reposition pictures, because they don’t always post correctly. Thanks for readingShow lessSpootyjones
Best app for work!
I work security and usually I can catch plate numbers when something happens before the guilty party takes off. The major issue with plate numbers is they are easily removed or switched.. I use your app at least 2 or 3 times in a work week to convert the plate numbers into the vin number of the guilty party. Doing so has allowed my local police to find more guilty people because I’ve provided them the vin and plate among other useful info.
