Very fun
I enjoy sitting in my yard seeing planes flying over and just wonder what those folk are going to be doing where there going. Checking out different airports and seeing how busy they are. The stats that are updates are accurate judging off seeing planes fly over at relatively the same altitude. Speed of aircraft pretty darn accurate. Update not good
I am 20 miles north of DFW and check on overhead flights often. The new upgrade is bad and many times the flight shown overhead is already on the ground at DFW when I click on it. I liked the older version much better. The new deal of broken lines fore and aft of flight with plane shown miles way from actual location is a downgrade from earlier version.Show lessPop the gramp
Provides incorrect info so absolutely useless
I downloaded to see a flight a family member us on. I know for a fact the plane left about 15-20 mins late as we were still talking on the phone 12 minutes after the supposed departure and theye weren't even bussed out yet. Upon checking the app it claims the flight left on time and it has already landed on time 10 minutes ago when it's still in the air... Hi, 👋🏼- I just started the airport transportation of clients and I’ve tried a couple of Apps - But this App , Planes Alive is the best!! Easier to follow and really up to date! I think it’s reporting is excellent. My client’s text came in about 90 Seconds after Planes Alive messaged me that the plane had just landed. Devious - makes you think you must pay
When you first run the app the design tries to fool you into thinking you MUST accept the "free trial", which then automatically charges you.
It looks like there's no way to just use the app for free, despite it being called a free version. There's a small X at the top of the screen which is deliberately designed to make it blend in with the background. Once you tap that, you can use the app for free.
If an app is good enough to pay for, the developers wouldn't need to try to trick users like this.Show lessevilplan
What a fun app to have!!!
Where I live we have very heavy air traffic, given the fact that I live just to the south of the Ogden airport, HAFB, and just north of the SLC International airport.
I really enjoy watching the statistics of the flights flying all around my place. To me, it’s very interesting to actually see the plane in the air above my place while sitting on the patio, and being able to see the planes telemetry live as the plane flys by.
Yes; you would probably need to be a pilot OR nerd (or both) to enjoy this app.
If you have any interest in planes, you’ll find this app to be very entertaining and interesting.
Well, I’m gonna take off…(no pun intended.)

Don’t bother trying to install this!
Saw this popped up on my Social Media feed so decided to give it a go.
Upon launching I am immediately greeted by the screen to activate a 3 day trial. There is NO WAY I could choose to run it WITHOUT getting into the gruel. I am not interested in the trial whatsoever, free or not. Even selecting the option in nit enabling the trial it still links he to the Apple App Store to enable a 3-day trial.
This is really trying to mislead your users posing as a free (ad-suppprted) app yet forcing people ro undertake a trial.
As such I deleted the app immediately and won’t even bother with it!Show lessWlgSpotter

The free trial option was created for those who want to test the app's Pro Features and experience its full functionality and it doesn't cost anything for a limited period of time. If you decide not to continue, please remember to cancel the renewal under your Apple ID settings - Subscriptions. Please note that you can always dismiss the subscription offer or the free trial offer and continue using the basic app version that comes with all of the essential options needed to check weather conditions. It first asked me to make a subscription before using it. Then it forced me to allow geolocalisation, then forced me to allow sending notifications. Then it forced me to enter my email. If the above was not annoying enough, when I asked to delete the app, it asked "keep the subscription: Yes/No". Really? After deleting the app? What for? When I clicked ‘No’, nothing happened, then the app froze, my phone froze, and I had to restart it several times. It’s the latest I-Phone, not some old obsolete phone… After restarting, I checked the settings, and the subscription was still active. Avoid !!!Show lesscourge1324

I enjoy this app as being blind I can view flights in a list format and read the info. Please could the developer test with voice over as there is room to improve eg hate the update to the near me view because it takes longer to read each flight.
Despite this the subscription does mean I can indulge my inner geekShow lessLJBristol
