Double charged, no confirmation

TL/DR: athe ap doesn’t clearly confirm if a booking was successful or not and will double charge you by not preventing you from making duplicate bookings.

I haven’t used the app since it has been updated but today when I tried to pay for parking and there was no confirmation that my payment was completed successfully and no listing of the session in the app. So as not to risk a penalty the second I walked away from the car I tried again thinking that if the first attempt had been successful the app wouldn’t let me make a duplicate booking.

After again not getting any clear confirmation one way or another I had to contact the council who own the car park and they confirmed that I had been double charged and I am now having to wait for a refund.

Would like to hear back that this issue is being looked into.

Bad app

Had recent bad experience of this parking app whilst in Southend app would not download on my phone so my son downloaded it after some time trying , registered his card etc then put parking location and pay for the parking or he thought he did , a week later I recurved a PCN saying I did not pay for parking, when my son checked payment was not taken , so be aware of this useless parking app and make sure it takes payment that’s if you can log in or download in the first place .

Useful app turns to useless app due to lack of testing

Well done Mobon. Your latest release doesn’t work and throws an error message when logging in. I’m not your tester and not interested that there’s a parsing error. I just want to pay for parking! You should be ashamed to release apps so fundamentally flawed.

Worked well

For me it worked well. I paid for parking on two cars, got reminders when it was running out and extended parking.

Docked a star for presentation (looks like it is only optimised for a 3.5” or 4” screen), lack of Apple Pay and no automatic filling in of my card from Apple Wallet, and adverts (bloody adverts when I am paying you?!). You nearly lost two stars for the adverts.

Utterly Terrible

My borough (Southend) use Mobon in most their car parks, however the app is unclear. On many occasions the app automatically assumes a vehicle or location, without giving you the chance to fully check if details are correct, subsequently leaving you with a parking fine.

Do NOT get this app under any costs, it is just a scheme to get money out of you. Just get a paper ticket and be done with it, it will save you SOOO much more hassle.

Very VERY disappointing considering the potential of this app.

Just terrible

I don’t normally review apps but this one is dreadful. The locations services are inaccurate which is unhelpful when you don’t know the area. Customer service is non existent and trying to get a refund is proving impossible. Screen takes you from booking to confirmation without the opportunity to review or cancel. Feels like a scam

Last Update Stopped Working

Since the last update I can no longer use the app, I get an error message Initialisation error as soon as I open the app, I have tried closing down and uninstalling and reinstalling but nothing. I now have to use the website to book parking.

So useful

This is a great app. A life saver! No more worrying about change or overstaying your ticket. The app sends you a text when your ticket is about to expire and you can renew through the app. I like that it confirms your payment and sends a text so you know you have paid. Great service through the query ticket too.

Not happy...

I have been trying to set up a payment to this company.
But for the last 2 months have repeatedly being declined to my email address already is held on there records.. therefore I am unable to use the parking areas that are at my beach hut....
Annoyed does not even come near to how I feel...

Very annoying

You arrive at your destination to find parking machine out of order and you have to download an App using your data allowance. It says you can also pay by phone but when you call you are still directed to the App. For Gods sake, all I want to do is spend an hour or so in Southend and this takes up at least 15 minutes
