Really bad.

Honestly I just use calendar to make sure I remember events and see when an event is happening but then one day randomly I just get events saying to update my phone because there will be people who will hack my phone and there was a lot more and it still happens and it’s annoying because I put notifications for calendar so then my phone explodes with notifications I wasn’t sure if there was a virus on my phone or what but then I deleted the app and then everything stopped. I don’t know if you can fix it but if you can please do I can’t see my events because of all the sudden “events” on my calendar.

It’s pretty good.

I really like the calendar app because it’s simple and I’ve never come across bugs. I have minor suggestions for it. Maybe there should be an option for deadlines within the day. For example, a solid line at 10 pm: on the right indicating “gym closes.” This doesn’t have to be a full time slot, just an solid line indicating the significance of what happens at that time. I guess it would make it easier to plan. Also, weather forecast only on events which have travel time included would also be nice.

What's the problem?

I honestly don't get the problem of this calender app? It helps you organize your events in a way to where it even gives you the option to turn on reminders for it. It saves and still shows the vents that you had planned on a certain day. My point is, why complain? I mean if you guys what to get a different calender app go ahead but a least be thankful that Apple put in the work to make this calender app an it's already downloaded on your device. Some of you guys may disagree with me but honestly I still don't see the problem. And please don't say that "There's too many ads" like bruh be so fr : / Anyways that's my review so yeah :/

Fix the bug

After the latest update, problems started. I made a n appointment on the calendar one day. Trying to set the first alert then second, the second alert would change the first alert time. So now the second alert has an earlier alert than the first. Also the worst thing is that “one” appointment time made was made by this app to feature it every single day of this year, next year way into 2032!!
I used to love using this app and relied on it daily. Now I’m screwed in deleting that one appointment everyday for the next 10 plus yrs! I’m sure it went into affinitybecause I didn’t have the time to check beyond the ten yrs. Btw, I did try to delete the app and reinstalling it but it was not successful. Please fix!

Probably not.

There’s nothing inherently wrong with it. But every other application is leagues above. For example, google calendar has multiple viewing opportunities and a to do list incorporated into the calendar. Apple’s version has a yearly view with nothing but the dates, a monthly view with the events for the day beneath a monthly calendar, and a scheduled view. That’s it. That’s literally all that it does. Switching between is not very intuitive or clear, I typically just push all the options on the screen until something happens.

Keep scrolling and pretend you didn’t see it. You’ll thank me later.

Frankly Terrible

Coming from a 7 year old Samsung S7 I expected a whole new world of efficiency. What I have got is something no better than on my ancient ipad2(which apple slowed down). There are too many clicks it is too drab and unclear to look at, the colour bubble you select is not actually shown on the calendar…just a grey pale blob that you will miss. This is more a store of information than a clear interactive means of communication for your organisational needs. It’s also just no fun… I never thought that calendars could be a fun sponge. Maybe it’s deliberately poor to help it’s app developer community….or Google. Though you shouldn’t use that one either.., just look at it’s privacy.

Hmm…

Mystery 1: when you have a nice sized iPad screen, why does the calendar app only provide a postage stamp size window for entering notes on a calendar event? Need to be able to use more of/the full screen…

Mystery 2: what does it take to consistently be able to edit calendar notes on an iPad? Sometimes all of my efforts to touch the screen and have the mouse show up to be able and for the keyboard to work to edit are in vain. The same thing happens even when I try using the touchpad on the apple keyboard I purchased with my iPad. Same thing happens on my iPhone sometimes also. The glitch needs to be fixed please.

Mystery 3: in this modern world we live in, why do we continue to use a “price is right” wheel to scroll to set a time for an appointment, for an alarm, etc? Just give us a number keypad please. Far easier and faster…

Thank you!

Deleting events! PLEASE READ!!

I didn't realize it did this! Until I needed to look up an old doctors appointment! From three years ago, low n behold! The entire year was missing! So, I called support! They were helpful in trying to find out why. But when they found out for me. Unfortunately, it wasn't what I was hoping for! They said the calendar is only set up for you for a couple of years! The year you're using it and the year before that! Everything else gets deleted! WTH!! What's the point of an online all accessible calendar if I can't look back? It's not! At least not for me! Apple is such an awesome company that I've never had issues with! Until this! Ugh! What a let down developers! Sorry!

Once great.. now not so much

I once upon a time liked this calendar but it has become so hard to use over the last few months. I deleted calendars that it automatically for some reason created on its own and they randomly reappear! I have my scheduling app that I like to download my schedule onto the calendar and now my schedule is showing up to 6x on the days! I have deleted the additional events but they just keep reappearing. What is going on? It just creates more and more events until it is practically unusable. I will be handwriting my calendar so I can delete this and quit paying the annual fee. Sorry but the lack of attention to how the app is working is losing you a customer.

“Nine days after” under “alerts”

Either this is some sort of a joke by Apple, or I’ve been hacked. But the calendar app gives you a choice of a lurch always with “day of the event”, “one day before the event”, “one hour before the event”, etc..But just today I noticed that he gave me a choice of “nine days AFTER” (emphasis mine).I took a screenshot of it to prove it. Unfortunately there’s no way to append it to this review. And I noticed that strange anomaly has since disappeared.

As another reviewer commented, I used to be able to see the whole current month’s calendar, but now it only gives me a list of days with events recorded on them. I like the old way better.
