Not available to family share

App appears to be a good app. Although you are only able to do 1 lesson a day on the free user version. The app is not available to family share which makes the app over priced for those who have more then one child wanting to learn.

Hi there and thanks for your review! We do offer family sharing. It's called "Gibson Premium Yearly Family+". If you need help in how to find this subscription you can email us at app.support@gibson.com and well guide you. Thanks, Daniel

Great for any level of experience!

I’ve been playing purely for my own pleasure for over 40 years. I play a little lead guitar but stuck rigidly in the G Blues scale thanks to the limitations of previous “teach yourself lead guitar” books.
The app is great to work through or jump around and try different things. I’ve started a level or two behind my current ability and it’s a great way of unlearning previous bad habits and refining what I already knew.

where are the tabs …

this is a weird app it design for serious guitar learning .. they are using their own notation which is weird to someone already playing and reading tabs and partitions… and it’s also expensive compared to the fender app which is at least using normal notation and tabs …

Easy Learning

I’ve really enjoyed the app for several months now, just trying to learn at the age of 51 and this app keeps me inspired, interested and challenged. There is a ton of information and tabs to follow. I imagine even a skilled, well seasoned guitar player would enjoy and appreciate what the app has to offer. Multiple, well known players provide valuable insights through the videos and step by step instructions, and suggestions. Easy to read and play to tabs make it simple to follow and play. For decades I’ve tried to commit myself to learning on my own and always walked away frustrated with how overwhelming it was to take on all the tabs, notes, chords, techniques and everything to do with learning and playing. This app really helped ease me into learning without overwhelming information pilled on. With very little effort and time I’ve continued improving and learning all of everything there is to know and understand. In essence, this app is as simple as it gets to truly learning how to play guitar. Great job to the team who is producing it.

Meh

I think the app is decent. I’ve been using it a few months now (waiting for the goods songs to come up), and have a come a long ways. However, any experienced players advice to you, will be to learn and play songs you like. But this app only has trash songs that no one even recognizes. So for that, I lost interest and switched apps.

Gotta love the paywall…

Got paywalled after 15 mins worth of very basic, one note lessons, despite selecting “advanced player.” I know nothing’s free but I sorta hoped that giving up 2 months pay for a guitar I’m gonna have to haul 1000 miles back to a city myself to get rewired properly might buy a perk or two in the app. Silly me.

??

It’s a great app and it’s such a great easy way to learn, tho ever since that update it been saying I got thing wrong when I get them right or right when I get them wrong sometimes, my phone is old so it could be that but I’m not sure

Don’t pick monthly for a free trial, you’ll be charged

Feel this app is being shady already only 2 minutes in, difference between yearly and monthly is staggering, a free 7 day trial should be exactly that, whatever plan, it’s misleading, most people are gonna pick monthly to be cautious but then it bills you without warning you, if you want the free trial pick yearly and cancel straight away, you should still get the 7 days, I don’t know because I WAS CHARGED!!!! I haven’t tried the app properly yet but already p*ssed off, it’s expensive, has issues just like Gibson guitars, when’s the Epiphone app coming out?..

Hey there, thanks for reaching out. They yearly subscription comes with a free trial while the monthly doesn't. Transparency is important for us so we work hard to make these things as clear as possible. And it seems we still have some work to do here. Could you perhaps send us an email to app.support@gibson.com so we first of all can help you out, but also hear your thoughts on how to improve this? Best, Daniel

Measure/beat markers

I love this app for practicing guitar, and I think it’s totally worth the subscription. But I can’t understand why it still doesn’t have beat or measure markers?? This would make it so much easier to look ahead as you’re playing and anticipate the upcoming riffs, and seems like a no-brainer to add. Hopefully someday it gets added, then it’ll be five stars for me.
