I can’t open the app, I can’t see any conversation and also lost all of my chats

It’s kinda slow

Been using for years, but it feels like it takes too long to load often times. It has me worried we’re losing customers. I’m writing this review because I hate change and I would rather they just make loading speed a priority. Also it would be nice if we could specify and auto response time that is between the 2 and 5 minute defaults as 3 minutes would be nice, but maybe this is not necessary if we get the notification right away and it loads right away. Otherwise happy with the software.

Bad data

Drift has gone downhill in the past 6 months. My entire team has noticed a huge increase in spam, fake users, etc.
I continuously get notified one of my prospects is viewing our webpage and we later come to find it was actually my coworker and it was incorrectly labeling her work computer, that is registered to our company-- as a prospect who lives in another country?? There's no explanation for that...
It has come to the point where our team knows not to trust any information. I'm consistently getting fake alerts of people requesting demos, etc.
Were also starting to get fake spam form fills flooding our inbound team, and it's made it very difficult to get accurate data.
The chat function is fine- but do not trust the data, ever. So spammy.

How does this have almost 5 stars??

It’s unreal how bad this app is. The premise of the product is great, but I consistently and persistently have a major issue with notifications. I open the notification that someone sent a message. The result? A blank screen with no text. Quit, re-launch, sometimes the text appears. Other times it stays blank.

Other times, I see the chat fine, the convo quiets down and I close the app. Prospect says something and I open the app… the conversation is completely out of order. What?!

It’s unbelievable that our team has reported this multiple times with no resolution. It’s not just my device, everyone on my team sees the same behavior. Does Drift not care? Seems like it… the app is garbage and is in desperate need of bug fixes.

Lastly, they took away the quick internal note function. Come on!! Now I have MORE taps to write an internal note? Have you done no user research? I wish we could nix this tool and use something else but it’s not my call.

Notifications don’t work

What good is having the app connected to your website if you don’t get the notification alert of a message for hours or sometimes DAYS after someone has messaged you? It’s better to not have this chatbot that get a bad reputation for being unresponsive to messages. I asked the web designer to remove this from my website years ago - I wish they’d listened to me.

Very unreliable

Very unreliable app every morning when I sign into work with my customers I am having problems with notification alerts, not showing on the two smartphones devices that I am using in the same time and this results in losing customers. They have 24 seven support which is a great thing. I am chatting every day with them for the past year but probably the app is just a piece of crap and they cannot fix it because I am still having problems.

Refresh doesn’t always work.

Notifications are broken

App constantly shows a badge indicating unread messages, even though all conversations are closed. Good service, but this is confusing to my team.

Working fine until last update

The app was working fine until last update now it closes every time I open it haven’t been able to use the app in a few days now, tried re down loading etc but nothing
