Update erased everything
I loved this app and spent a lot of time this spring taking pictures of all my beds and recording all the gardening actions that I took. I didn’t write things down on paper because I had the app. Today when I went to open the app it said an update was required. I accepted the update only to find that ALL of my information, photos and careful notes had been erased!! I am so frustrated and angry! So much for this great new technology! I should have stuck with pencil and paper.Show lesscflyer

Their website says there’s a one week free trial but it appears you have to sign up and pay for a subscription in order to access it, so it’s not really free then is it?
Also, there’s no landscape mode so I can’t use the app with my ipad keyboard.. which is super annoying if I wanted to type in plant or garden information.
It also seems really expensive to access extra features. I like the idea of a garden journal/planner, but unless there are some serious improvements I won’t be paying any money for this app.Show lessgaiagardener

Hi, thanks for your feedback. Yes there is a free trail for 7 days, you sign up via App store or the site, and you can cancel directly, and still use for the 7 days free trail. You get best price if you sign up for a annual subscription via the web. /JennyDisappointing
*Update: Loss of data was due to a glitch with iPhone. It opened a new account with Gardenize when downloading update. Thanks to Jenny for getting my account straightened out. I got all my data back! Started documenting my covid19 garden with this app back in March. I went though the hassle of entering plant info for multiple locations and updated with pics though out the season. I had the time and thought it would be a good reference. Then in late July the app locked up and insisted I download the latest version. So I did, LOST ALL OF MY DATA. No warning to export before update (which costs extra) and no ability to do so as the app was locked. Contacted developers, 2 weeks and no response.Show less17thGlen

Please log out and back in, using your old method of logging in (Facebook, Google or e-mail) and you will find everything is there. And I like to appologize for not getting back before, but most likely the e-mail address you provided in the feedback part of the app was locked for replies via Apples privacy policy. /JennyGood tracking app, good customer service
I’m updating my rating for this app based on customer service. I initially thought I lost all my data and photos of plants I own, but they let me know that I accidentally created a new account (not sure how I didn’t notice that...). So thank you for clarifying it for me and I have all my data!
This app is very handy to keep track of watering/fertilizing, etc. especially when you have so many plants! I would love to be able to create more groups (on top of area groups) like groups per kind of plants (ex. Succulents, houseplants, etc) to find plants quicker. Also, it would be great if each plant profile has water button to push every time I water instead of toggling to event. But overall, I’m very satisfied with the app.Show lessLhffyhj

Was really enjoying logging the growth of my plants and suddenly the option to add any more photos is withheld unless I pay for a ‘higher tier’. The app should’ve either had these tiers from the beginning or only added to the current features. Putting once-free features behind a pay wall does not incentivise me to pay monthly - just puts me off to be honest.Show lessESQ1990

It keeps record of all the plants in your garden and also pictures and where you plant them. It terrific all in one place. Love it. Was looking for a way to record them. THIS IS IT. Use it dailytishajaney

Best gardening app and great support
I have over 1000 plants and this app makes it really easy to monitor their health, keep track of planting, harvest dates and all the tasks in between. The interface is very intuitive so it’s really easy to started. And when I did have a question I emailed and got an very quick and helpful response. A quirky app that assists me tremendously in the struggle of keeping track of all the plant data and pictures. The new upgrade seems to make it operate a bit more efficiently. The photo link to the plant data is fairly seamless. The data export is not easy to execute. This being basically a unique plant database, as a user I would like to be able to easily extract unique data. A quick search function would be a plus.Show lessSenorLaPaz
