Annoying

WHY am I constantly being asked to allow notifications EVERY TIME I go to use the app. I don’t need notifications, I don’t want notifications. I said no, why keep asking me over and over. Just stop. You creeps. How annoying can you get?! There is not a single other app that does that.

Lifechanging!

I highly recommend this. I was initially referred to this by my functional medicine Dr, and tried the free trial period - mainly to help with sleeping through the night. It worked so well I upgraded to the monthly subscription, then subsequently took advantage of an annual promotion. I’m sleeping better than I have in years! Moreover, the NuCalm support staff are absolutely amazing. Rarely have I experienced such a responsive and friendly service provider!

Life, saving and magical

I’m a dentist and I use Nucalm to relax my patients. I used Nucalm myself during sleep for the first time to relieve a lot of stress I’ve had in recent months. I tried the deep sleep session and I was incredibly amazed at how vivid my dreams were. I had dreams of my mother and brother who passed and they were so real that when I woke up, I was literally in tears. The main reason I started using the app was because I had uncontrollable high blood pressure. When I woke up from just that one session, my blood pressure was normal. I’m using the deep sleep session every night now. I would have to say it’s life-changing because stress and high blood pressure will eventually take your life and Nucalm has actually lowered my blood pressure when medications didn’t work. The icing on the cake is better a better quality of REM sleep which is where all the magical dreaming happens!

Love app but has bugs now

Hi developers. I’ve just moved over to a new iPhone and my deep sleep noises just aren’t playing. They try to load for 30sec then the pop up says it’s all done. Is this a new bug? I’m on the new iPhone 16 and latest ios.
Other than that your product has been a life saver and genuinely works for me. I can’t do without it. Thank you

Rescue

I’m using the Rescue pack & discs. It’s so awesome to help keep myself balanced. Anxiety, Depression & Stress have been part of my life for years. Then last year I was diagnosed with PTSD. I had to leave work. This is the best program ever for treating illnesses, and not with a pill . Thank you NuCalm 😊

Lifesaver!!!

I use NuCalm everyday and can’t imagine my life without it. It helps me tremendously in school - I get my work done faster and I feel better about the work I am producing. I also do better on exams when I study with NuCalm. Consistent use has helped manage my anxiety and has greatly improved my sleep quality - I no longer get afternoon slumps and I feel great in the morning, even waking up super early. Love it!

Fraudulent and unprofessional, 100%

I purchased a one year subscription to NuCalm. However, a pop up on their *own site* blocked me from seeing a free trial option. I contacted NuCalm about this several times, asking for a trial instead, only to be ignored, so I opened a dispute with Apple/JP Morgan. I treated the dispute as a time to demo the service, and shortly after NuCalm cancelled my account. However, because of something in NuCalm’s contractual documentation, they and Apple are refusing to refund my one year payment **even though** I no longer have a live account. This means I was charged a full year subscription and have zero access to the service. Payment was taken but no services were rendered. I’m now out several hundred dollars and have nothing in exchange. Let’s let the world decide: bogus or legitimate business practices? Why charge someone in exchange for nothing while only creating obstacles to rectify the situation?

Update: The NuCalm Support Team connected with the subscriber on a 44-minute call. The subscriber purchased from the website on a mobile device. We were running a promotion and included a standard pop-up highlighting the holiday offer. The Free Trial button was covered by the pop-up on the mobile device (not on a desktop). This subscriber purchased an annual subscription when a monthly option was available. There was a glitch in our system (this has only happened once, to this person, that we know of) and we didn't receive the requests to consider switching the account to a free trial (our terms & conditions clearly state that there are no refunds). The subscriber disputed the charge with his/her credit card company. From what we know about credit card companies, disputes are for fraudulent charges. The subscriber purchased a subscription and used the patented software 99 times during January 2024. Since the subscriber did not receive his/her payment back after the dispute process concluded and there was a significant amount of usage in January, we reinstated the account and added extra months to a total of 12 months of full access to our EDGE (access to all 6 products) subscription. It is our mission to help everyone manage stress to be their best. We are not perfect (although our patented software is as close to perfect as you can get!), but we will always do the right thing. Our amicable phone call, quick reinstatement of access with additional subscription term time, and offer to be available for offline help demonstrate our commitment to customer service. We had hoped that the subscriber would have updated his/her review to reflect our current status as well.

This app is brilliant - except when it glitches - which is multiple times a day :(

Would desperately love to rate this a 5 but instead I'm now looking for alternatives :(

Multiple times a day I have to close the app, re-open it, close it again, re-open it... you get the picture.

It often stalls, or hangs, or 'pauses' for a looooong time before the button press 'activates' the sound. (Except for when it doesn't start at all!) Ironically, these glitches provide an experience the exact OPPOSITE of what the app sets out to do.

And yes.... I've done the resets, the restarts, and the uninstall/reinstall.

For the monthly fee I'm paying, call me crazy, but I expect more.

Normally I wouldn't even bother with the review, I'd just disappear from the client list. Only reason I haven't yet is because (if it weren't for all the glitches) it's such a brilliant app and I want to remain a customer, I really do. But life's too short to spend it getting agitated at an app that's supposed to help you relax.
Please NuCalm, get IT into those bug fixes pronto. I can't take it much longer!

Your experience is not stress-free (which is exactly opposite of what we do) nor is it typical. Some people have playback issues that directly relates to WiFi strength, but your experience seems different and inconsistent with the norm.

Doesn’t help with sleep

My review is an honest, unpaid one.I got this primarily to help with sleep and it doesn’t really help at all. There are also only 3 sleep songs, the sonic one is very annoying, sleep melodies just ok and I do like the rain one but not every single night. For what they charge with no return possible if dissatisfied, they could do so much better. The rescue I use often but only find it somewhat helpful. The stickers seem to be just that. Really expensive stickers. They give you zero proof of any clinical evidence that they do anything or what they are actually made of. I definitely do not recommend this. Their are so many better ways to help anxiety and sleep issues.
