  • Dated, another legacy manufacturer that doesn’t get it

You can tell, those manufacturers who invest in the gig economy and those that don’t. This app is dated, doesn’t even adapt to my iPhone, after 2+ years, basic functionality. Their development mindset is dated, often referred to as “waterfall development”...design a app once and leave it alone. I get regular, and what I mean by regular is once, twice or even more than three updates a month for my: garage door opener, home alarm, home automation, thermostat, social apps, etc..

The in app solicitations to “buy a device” is just another motivation to not buy another device from a company that simply doesn’t get it.

  • One person usage app

I have an app for my thermometer that keep records of each family members and an app for my weight scale with each family members data and having only one person in the family use the BP app is kind of useless. Come on Welch Allen get with the program. As a physician I trust Welch Allen products but will have to go with different company on this.

  • Can’t delete measurements

Pros: The app is very easy to use and seamlessly integrates with Welch Allyn devices.

Cons: The app doesn’t allow you to delete measurements or set up different profiles. I took the BP of my daughter, for example, and now her data are clogging up my own BP report...

Also the data seem to automatically upload and get saved without asking for permission. - The problem with that is that anyone’s measurement within Bluetooth range will be automatically uploaded and then, as said before, can’t be deleted!!

I had planned to use this device with my patients in a small private practice where I don’t need are larger “professional” machine, but will now have to turn off the Bluetooth on my phone each time I do so... That’s a major bummer!

    Suggestions for improvement:
    1) Allow to set up multiple profiles.
    2) Allow for user to delete measurements.
    3) Ask for permission to upload/save measurements.

  • No ability limit Welch Allyn’s use of data.

No ability to limit what Welch Allyn does with your personal data and info. Terms and conditions explicitly says they can use and share your captured readings, name, email, location, and whatever personal info entered (ie age, sex, weight, height, etc.).
  • Need multi profiles for more users

Developers: Please create more user profiles for this app- at least 1 or 2 extra profiles. My immediate family members have uncontrolled high blood pressure despite medications that can cause strokes and we need to track bp levels for more than 1 user. It’s a big hassle to measure different family members and have the numbers end up on 1 user profile. Great hardware but phone software app is very very lacking.

  • Monitor is great. Software is useless.

Upgraded phone from iPhone X to XsMax. App will no longer synced with Apple Health App. Worse yet, if you want to print out your readings you choice is last 30 days, last 60 days, or all. It would be nice to specify a date range. Forget about calling technical support. I’ve been on hold for over an hour with no end in site. Unfortunately I can only I’d rate support and software a 1, can’t go lower. If you buy the 1700 series monitor be prepared to enter your readings manually.

  • iPhone change to XS loses all data due to database error

We have 2 Welch Allyn blood pressure monitors each connected to one iPhone X, we switched to the iPhone XS and now the launch fails with a message to restart or delete the app. Restarts do nothing, we both have a lot a twice a day reading and now it would be all deleted. Bummer! Will wait a week to see if anything gets fixed before reinstalling.

  • What's the use?

The physical bp monitor is great, however this app is not worth the download. It does not support multiple users. All it does is store bp and weight readings for a single user on company servers. I find it easier to manually enter data into a simple spreadsheet for all family members; this also prevents yet another company from storing and tracking our data.

  • Ok

Good app for one person. However, it would be nice to be able to have more than one profile since both me and my husband need to use it. There are cheaper blood pressure monitors out there with this ability.

The only way it seems to be able to use for more than one person is to not connect via Bluetooth and just enter in your readings to the app manually.

I would give five stars if this could be fixed.

  • Great product but app needs improvement

It does exactly I need. However, there is more than one person in my household. Mainly, my wife!

Furthermore my wife love the BP and Scales. The problem is the app has no means to isolate her values from my own unless we manually delete the duplicate entries.
