I recently deleted this app, as I was having issues with it.
The developers were very quick to jump on the issues and sort it out!

This is by far the best iOS app I have used. It’s amazing. It’s perfect.
Long time users like me are grand fathered into the free tier. I did buy many upgrades. But now they’ve gone down the subscription route.
The new free version is very restrictive — you cannot use slow motion playback.
If you have bought upgrades in the past then I strongly advise you to backup all app data. If not, you’ll have to subscribe to Spark Pro for basic functionality.Show lessec1v

I’ve only just started using the app, and it seems ok. Not the most intuitive for when you want to add to a pre-existing workflow, but I’m sure I’ll get the hang of it.
I thought I was agreeing to a 3 day trial initially (great option for me to try the app), only to find that they’d billed me for an entire year. Be VERY careful when you first start using this app (and just wanted to try it out first - like me), not to inadvertently sign up for a year.Show lessMegfordPatel

I use this app so much.
Constant interruptions for reviews and lots of buggy problems that I was hoping they would fix when they updated the app.
But then they just ended up adding a subscription tier instead of rewarding the loyalty of any customers that have been with them for so long. Such a slap in the face that I will consider whether to even stay with them.
EDIT: constant interruptions to upgrade to their premium tier, it just feels like I am using a free version with the amount of interruptions.Show lessDamm.

This app was awesome, and as a kid it was funny to make comical fast edits that would make me and my friends laugh. One day, an update came to my iPad. I don’t know which update this was, but it ruined the experience for me. It made the screen appear on the right side of my iPad. It made it so I couldn’t tap the exit button, or the “watch film” button. It’s hard to make videos, mostly because I can’t even see most of the screen while making it. I really hope the developer can see this and try to help this problem.Show lessPuggy-dood
Great app but some issues
Really love the app. I use it every day as a way to record my own personal daily vlogs. But there are times when I’m exporting that when it completes the ring it doesn’t do anything. It just waits. So I usually have to force close reopen then try again. Usually it’ll work again but gets frustrating waiting twice. The other thing is after recording a fairly long single clip (> 50 sec) there’s a bit of a delay before I can start recording again. Sometimes I immediately press to record but if it’s in the middle of that delay it doesn’t capture anything. So I end up wasting a shot. And the last issue I’d really love to have and been asking for a few years now is to have orientation lock. I shoot in landscape and because you don’t have a lock I need to keep my phone “orientation free” to accommodate Spark. It’s not a big deal most of the time except when I’m lying down on my side and everything rotates. So having a lock on the video orientation would be great.

Spark continues to get better and better with each update. The devs really have pushed this app in the right direction. I absolutely love the new ability to simultaneously record the front face camera and the back camera now, it’s a great feature.
A couple requests:
1. Please offer an option to choose orientation or location of front face camera bubble
2. Please allow the choice to choose to use separate filter options for front face camera bubble or to use the same filter for “all”.
3. Please offer a way to “latch” recording for videos where it’s less applicable to hold the screen to shoot clips.
BONUS:
4. Please add an option for “live steaming” with the front face bubble feature active. — that would be amazing!Show less#INSULIN4ALL
Would be five if....
I just started spark to make weekly memory videos for my family since we don’t see them much. I think this app is great and premium is reasonably priced. But could you please add more songs that are acoustic or feel sentimental? Everything I’ve clicked through with the exception of 2-3 songs is very techno-heavy. I want something sweet and light when sharing videos of my little boy! Thanks!Show lessundrstndngirony

Not worth the money
Don’t need to waste any time writing a long review. All I needed to do is to download 5 clips that I’ve made in the past 4 years. The app will crash, if I try to delete/re-install, data will be lost. So I get a pop up to “Upgrade”. I’ve already paid for this app. I understand developers need to get paid, I do to and not spending money again on a few “enhancements”. The app hasn’t changed much over the years. $59 unlimited? That gives me no comfort that the app will be relevant in the near future. I’ve already have App fatigue, so I’ll reclaim more of my time by deleting more apps. Good luck with your ventures. App Deleted...Show lessMarkowinszka
