  • No real updates, all fake !!

    Disappointed with YODEL courier Service!! Overall Rubbish service l!!

    My parcel was supposed to be delivered on the 16th of August and it didn’t after 3 days now. They say they will try delivery next 3 consecutive days but every time they will say the same useless reason for missed delivery!!

    I think their mostly used reason is ‘driver cannot find location and more details required’ even after having full address, my contact number and what3words location. The customer support chat team is also big frauds as they will say sorry for inconvenience and your parcel will get delivered tomorrow but that never happens as well. I contacted the on call support as well to check what more details is required to find the location and they can’t say a specific details what is required. Not qualified to courier service if the driver can’t find the location with all the details provided..joke!!!

    What I understood is YODEL only give importance to paid service and for all standard deliveries they will make the customer collect it from some collection points nearby which customers have to do after loosing their patience.

    Such a bad experience from YODEL courier service, I’m yet to receive my parcel also planning to raise the issue with the seller and raise a return request due to this nonsense and inconvenience caused to me. I will never opt YODEL courier service in lifetime!!!!

  • Yodel seem to offer a consistently poor experience

    I’m checking with companies from now on which courier they use, and if it’s Yodel I’m going to order from elsewhere. I don’t think they’ve ever managed to successfully deliver at the first attempt to my home. I’ve taken days off work in the past just so I don’t have to spend another week waiting for them to actually turn up. The couriers routinely ignore the delivery instructions provided to them. They just call my mobile when they’re outside and if I don’t immediately answer they don’t bother attempting to delivery, despite my delivery instructions saying to leave in my porch or with a neighbour. Also, I can’t understand the logic in letting the sender of a parcel decide where at my address it should be left. Pretty sure I’m better placed to judge on that. A consistently painful experience which I certainly won’t be putting myself through again.

  • What happened to Yodel?

    Use this service before Christmas was really good quick shipping and quick delivering started using impost over Christmas as well and packages started going missing at the warehouse some packages up to £100 and have to wait sometimes up to a month to get a refund so stopped using impost went back to Evri so the shop that I collect the parcel through and now doing Yodel deliveries and pick up so I’d thought I’ll start using them again pack are taking up to 2 weeks to get to me with no updates on tracking and most recently I have contacted Yodel as well and they just send you round in circles not helpful at all. I’ve now had a package been out for delivery for two days and all between eight and 9 o’clock and never arrives, all round can’t give no more stars as bad customer servicing and bad update apps and very slow in delivering parcels. Shall we just using Evri from now on for everything?

  • Clearly not accurate

    Downloaded as expecting something bought on EBay which was late according to expected delivery date. Firstly it was telling me an expected day of the day I downloaded and how many drops the driver had before my parcel, but that was in a different place to where I am. It then became apparent it was actually info regarding the item being collected from where the seller had dropped it off.

    Today Ebay is providing different information to the Yodel app, which I would have thought was uploaded to Ebay, but there is a hour difference between arrival at Coventry depot yesterday (looks like Yodel have not updated their system to British Summer Time) and they are showing my parcel apparently stuck in Coventry whereas Ebay now has it at the Northampton depot.

    So basically don’t rely on what this app tells you because it appears not to know what is actually on its system as well as others linked into it such as Ebay.

  • Suppose it does the bare minimum?

    If you have all courier apps (which I assume name of us do) this one rates as the worst. Unlike DPD, it doesn’t tell you where you are in the delivery queue (e.g. you are delivery 40 and driver is on delivery 18) unlike DPD. My delivery slot today was given to me 3 minutes before the slot began, meaning I had no hope of getting home for it, and when I tried to tell the app a safe place to leave the parcel, a warning message appeared saying (paraphrased) ‘if you try to tell us this, we may not deliver to you at all today’ which seemed very counterproductive, and in contrary to the fact they are not allowed to do that as it was a hello fresh order. DPD lets me change my preferences anytime, and remembers them for the future. Evri also lets me update this without threats. My food is currently with a neighbour who is out, therefore who can say when I’ll get it? Bad app when compared to its competitors.

    Yodel is by far the best parcel delivery company along with Royal Mail the only thing that lets it down is the delivery status doesn’t update as it should on the app. It says your delivery is due between such and such asuch a time and it always is but the app doesn’t always update as quickly as it should. Other than that there amazing as you know your packet is coming that day and what time it’s coming unlike other delivery company’s you always get your parcel that day no matter what. Yodel puts company’s like Evri to shame they deliver when there meant to and where their meant to with respect to your parcel and don’t just throw it about or dump it in the rain. I’d choose yodel over Evri every day of the week.

  • Good tracker but drivers have trouble finding us

    We have had a couple of parcels lately, the first we believe must have been delivered to the wrong address, as we had to contact supplier for replacement.
    Todays I was following the tracking as to how many stops we were away from delivery, we were the next when a note came up that I needed to provide further details about where my address was. I was told to fill in further details on my account on the app but the options for this came up as unavailable which has been the status for some time, as I have tried before. Why have facilities if they are unavailable.
    Now got to see if the package is delivered tomorrow, used to have a very friendly driver who new exactly where we were. Frustrated!!!

  • Rubbish

    From items being hurled over my back fence, to others being placed in other neighbours outbuildings, what is the point of this service? My house number is very visible, and while your app told me my parcel was to be delivered, i wait in, but your couriers do not bother to knock? My Ring doorbell tells me there is activity at my front door, while my breakable delivery is hurled over my fence? Why? Do you not teach your couriers how to use a door knocker or doorbell? And why do your couriers choose to leave my items at the wrong address? Why? You have no right to consider these items as delivered, when really they have not been delivered to me at all! All properties in my street are very clearly numbered. This is inconveniencing everyone, it is not even following instructions. Sort your act out!

  • Soft lock during setup

    Cannot get past the insert address set due to the screen going blank and only a back button remaining.
  • Inaccurate delivery dates

    Several times now I’ve arranged to be home or arranged to go in to the office, to ensure I’m home for these deliveries only to find the date changes. So all week, since Monday, my app has said the items will arrive Friday. It’s now Weds and as of this morning, the app still said Friday, so I went into work. Then I get a message an hour before scheduled delivery, to say the items were being delivered today. Dashed home, only to find 2 of the 3 deliveries (which were all sent by the same sender on the same day) had been delivered. I contacted customer support - don’t bother ringing as it’s pointless - and spoke to someone on the chat. The first person cut me off. The second person was pleasant but couldn’t tell me when the 3rd parcel was coming. This is the first time this has happened. I never have these issues with Evri or Royal Mail. Delivery drivers are nice but the app itself is inaccurate. At least update people the night before, so they can make plans the following day. Bringing deliveries forward by 2 days and giving only 2 hours notice, I unacceptable. And it was only by chance I knew, because I got an email. I should have been notified through this app really.
