  • Low on functionality, crashes

    You can’t set a profile, so that deliveries to the same email address automatically come into the app. You can only see the progress of a delivery when you add in the tracking number individually, so you might as well use the link in the email, rather than bother downloading the app and pasting in the tracking number. If I had a profile, I’d get a ping of a new delivery and get updates on it automatically, rather than have to manually add in each one.
    You can’t set delivery preferences/ instructions either. At my house, all I want to say is come to the side door so I can hear the knock, but you can’t do that, so deliveries keep going to my 90 year old neighbour who struggles.
    Tried to web chat with someone (to update this) and when I get connected to someone, the app crashes and I have to start again (I’m latest version of app and iOS).

  • All the information I needed

    I had a delivery via Yodel. Given what I had heard / reviews on here I wasn’t sure it would arrive / the app would be useful but I was pleasantly surprised.

    There’d been an issue at the warehouse and the company I’d ordered from had been in touch to advise the delivery wouldn’t take place on Friday as ordered. No wonder the Yodel app was saying the parcel would be with them soon.

    As it was a bank holiday I wasn’t expecting the delivery until Tuesday but on Saturday at lunchtime I got a notification from the Yodel app with a two hour timeslot. I checked the app part way through the timeslot and it told me how many stops the driver had before my delivery. An hour before the timeslot advised the parcel was delivered. It was on the doorstep and the driver was returning to his van as the delivery guidelines said.

    My experience seems at odds with the other reviews. The app did what I expected and was accurate (I got information other reviews say they didn’t do the app can provide that maybe it’s the device chose by the company they bought from or driver that meant other reviewers didn’t). The driver was polite and the package was undamaged. Nothing more I’d expect from a delivery service.

  • Disappointing application

    The app opens fine and all but what’s the point of providing a service when even your website says that the package can’t be tracked despite having a tracking number ? I have been waiting almost 3 weeks and every time I try to track it i get a “there was an error on our end” message. Save your time and don’t bother shipping with Yodel.

    I have hundreds of parcels delivered and of all the various delivery services Yodel has probably been the least reliable: the same goes, it would seem, for the app.

    After taking a whole day of work waiting for a parcel delivery I logged into the app. Reassuringly, as with many delivery apps, it appears to show how many stops the delivery person has to go and where they are now on a map. Mine, it seemed, is still due today and is not far away, a bit less than a mile. More worryingly, it shows, and has shown for the past several hours, that the delivery person is making delivery number 8 out of 51 and is 39 stops away. From the information on the app, I can only assume that he/she has taken the afternoon off. I look at to webchat facility and confirm I am within the opening hours. I log in with all the required information but it just spins. After five minutes it displays a notice saying they’re busy.

    Did the developer, like the delivery driver, maybe get called away before finishing the job? I wonder ...

  • Useless service - good app

    Compared to other delivery services, the app is pretty well laid out. Unfortunately Yodel is useless. Waited in all day and package never came, told me it would now come the next day, so waited in all day for it again, it still didn’t show up. Watched the driver on the tracker and he was parked in the same place for 45 minutes, only for 1 delivery to actually be made! What was he doing? The driver actually only made 20 deliveries in the whole day. My package was meant to arrive between 5 and 7, but by 9pm (when they finish for the night) I apparently still had 56 people in front of me in the queue? That’s not just missing me by a small amount, that’s doing practically nothing all day. So I tried to speak with the web chat feature and was given the usual copy and paste answers from people who didn’t understand English. Terrible service, I will avoid companies that use this service from now on, and if my package doesn’t come tomorrow I’ll be making an official complaint

    Tried tracking a package and I just keep getting a message that says “oops, something went wrong on our end”
