Used to be the best, now it’s a pay to win mess
When the original(?) company ran everything it was the best app I’ve ever downloaded. For nearly 2 years straight I played this game multiple times a day, every day. When the new company took over the game gradually became more and more pay to win. You can still advance through the game without spending a nickel which is good, but they push the micro transactions so much and they’re beginning to ruin the UI with it. There’s now this garish banner you can’t remove that highlights the new micro transactions. They also stopped releasing new skins for heroes and just depend on people to spend money on in game currency now. I used to spend money on the game for special holiday events or hero events but ever since the big micro transaction push I haven’t spent a dime. They’re also trying to cram new features in which ultimately makes the game feel like a daily chore where you slog through the same X amount of repetitive idle PvP matches for very little returnShow lessJacobyLIVE

Imperia Online ruined the game after they bought it. Competing in the game has strongly shifted to Pay2WinAwakeForever

New owners don't care about player base, game has become a cash grab.
They made a huge mistake of releasing 7⭐️ hero medals before the 8⭐️ patch went in and they did not care one but to do something about their own mistake!Vladee99
Too much of a grind
It will take you a total of 3 years to get a hero to 8stars if you’re a free to play player, no joke. There’s plenty of guides for optimal Flooz spending for F2P players in the Discord and recent calculations with the new release of 8stars says approx 3 years.Trihartavs
900 days play time
Been playing this game for a while and it’s gotten so bad it’s not even funny. Loved the game at first because it was very f2p friendly but now it’s all p2w. A new company bought the game and they need the cash so they messed up the economy so bad. Don't download this unless you want to spend $100 a week to be mediocre. 0/10Show less4(?8)?
Treat their players like garbage
Do you want to be a part of a game that treats their loyal players like trash? Then this is the game for you! I had played this game for over 3 years, and with this most recent update, THEY screwed up and released medals in the mail early (before the update went live), and then they blame me for opening the mail, saying that they won’t be re-issuing the medals. I would say that they should be ashamed of themselves, but that would require them to have a conscience. All the worst to the company/developersShow lessdeadrenegade

Well Balanced Game
Update: my earlier reviews were based on the service of the previous owners. Since then, the game has been bought out by a new company. Customer support in addressing individual support tickets has been satisfactory, but the overall game experience has gone downhill dramatically. Everything now has been aimed at micro transactions, with dollars being the driving force behind every new update. The developers have made numerous errors in rolling out updates, and have not admitted any wrongdoing on their parts, penalizing players who suffered because the game company has not been transparent in their communications. Example: A major update was planned which had sweeping implications to the game, and the announcement was only made on Discord, with no announcement at all made in game.
The new owners are more concerned with maximum revenue for minimum effort. Quality of the product is not even important at all anymore.
Update: after 7 months, still going strong and enjoying the game. What has impressed me most has been the Support Team. Any support tickets I’ve filed have been resolved within 12 hours maximum! These guys care about customer feedback and customer satisfaction. Well done! I’ve been playing daily for 3 months. As an idle game, I’ve been able to make progress needing to spend only a few minutes each day without the need for constant micro-management. There is still a lot of game ahead of me, unlike many games that hook you in and then offer nothing but more expensive updates. A free 2 play experience here is just as fulfilling and there’s no need to compete against “whales”. Backed by a fun and healthy online community, this has been a very entertaining experience. Several months ago the original developer of the game sold to an exploitative succubus who is selling everything in micro transactions to milk as much $$$ from the players as they can.
Game always had transactions but were relatively expensive so a free to play player had option of watching videos in order to mostly mostly keep up. Not anymore, with the 3x or 4x bonus on premium currency purchases as well as selling every single thing needed to develop heroes - F2P players are completely left in the dust. Devs have recently announced a new level cap for heroes as so many whales have maxed them all so there was nothing left for them to buy.Show lessAabrax Menet
Burning down in flames
I’m a two year vet of this game. It used to be the best game, but was recently sold to a new company. The new companies intentions are clear, they care only about money and never listen to the player base unless it will pass their wallets. CTA used to have a stable economy with a healthy progression ladder for competitive play, now it’s solely based around who has the biggest bank account and is willing to throw money away weekly to keep up with the constant changing leeching the player base. Most recently, 18 Nov 2021, management released that they would increase the current level cap to an 8th star. For those new to the game or considering, take this into account. I’ve spent over $5k in two years and just maxed out every element pool to 7 stars. That isn’t to say I’ve maxed characters though as now I still have to awaken all the toons to 7 pink stars. To compare, I currently only have five toons completely capped. This new change means that unless you are willing to give unfettered access to your bank accounts to the new management, you will never truly enjoy this game or be able to play competitively. If all you are looking for though is a click click click game with no intent of spending money it might still be fun, but I highly doubt it.
